Detailed Reviews
We have stayed here quite a few times, and absolutely love Perdido Beach Resort. This place is great, whether you want a family vacation, or a romantic getaway. Here, you have everything you need: a beautiful beach, a wonderful pool, top-notch restaurants, and top-notch entertainment. On this trip, we chose to stay on the top floor club level, and it was definitely worth every penny: our room was immaculately clean, large, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable; the bathroom was well-stocked with fluffy towels and quality lotions and shampoos. The views of the pool area and the beach were breathtaking. The club level lounge offered a nice variety of foods and juices for breakfast each morning, and an open bar and appetizers during happy hour each afternoon, with wonderful views of the ocean. Dinner at Voyagers, the upscale restaurant at Perdido, was simply fabulous, and the pianist who entertained during dinner, John Lee Sanders, is outstanding. The next evening, we saw he was playing in the lobby bar, so we stayed to have some drinks and listen to him play. We did not get the name of the bartender working the lobby bar, but she was very personable. Our stay was enjoyable and relaxing. All in all, we love coming here, and can't wait to come back!

A very nice, clean, modern resort, that gave us a fantastic side view of the pool, beach and ocean. A little pricey though, at approx. $300 a night. The whole property was wonderfully situated, close to everything: restaurants, donuts, shopping, Walgreens, Wal Mart, etc. We had very minimal interaction with staff, who were almost invisible. I did have a problem connecting to their free WiFi, but the front desk clerk was unable to assist me. I would like to commend the Room Cleaning staff on doing a great job of cleaning and provisioning our room whenever they cleaned it. They were always pleasant and hard working. I found the area to be very much less crowded and cleaner overall than the adjacent Gulf Shores. The pool and beach areas were well-tended and very clean and appealing. My only complaint was the light on the wooden bridge to the beach was flashing intermittently every night we were there, and no one ever made an attempt to replace it. Other than that, we had a great and memorable stay.

We have so much to say about this place but will stick to the key points. The resort is set up nicely, everything pretty convenient. The desk attendants, restaurant staff & valet staff were always kind & helpful.
We loved how easy it was to get to the beach, and lounge chairs/umbrellas are available for rent. The pool was amazing during our March stay. It was chilly but refreshing in the sun. The live music by the pool was great.
Parking was never a problem but a full service complimentary valet is available.
Latitude 30 offered a variety, but you must try the Snapper Reuben or the grilled Snapper. Perdido Beach Pizza Co loaded the pizza with so many toppings we were surprised!
The resort and the room was updated nicely. Water pressure and temp was perfect. Beds were soft.
For the area- if you have little ones you must go to Little Lagoon Pass. No big waves and lots of hermit crabs!
Chasing the Son Photography took our amazing family photos at an affordable price and came right to us.
We loved Perdido Beach Resort so much we booked another stay for later this year while we were still there! It felt like a cruise ship experience on land.

Our stay was very disappointing, we expected so much more for the price we paid, which was in excess of $320/night. The entire stay was self serve- no customer service at all. Rooms were only cleaned upon request and towels replenished only on request as well. The lobby is newly remodeled but the rooms are dated, with poor lighting, tiny bathrooms and blackout curtains that don’t fully close. Primarily, the staff was not accommodating and barely present. During the COVID pandemic, if the hotel is operating on a skeleton staff, prices need to be adjusted accordingly because the “resort” is just a place to sleep and swim currently.

+1
I’ve attended a summer conference at the Perdido Beach Resort for several years and have always enjoyed the location and service. What was different this year, after a year off from COVID, was that the hotel was completed an extensive room renovation project that started after Hurricane Sally. In short, the renovations are beautiful and greatly improve room functionality, especially the bathroom showers. Overall, a great meeting location is now even better.

Perdido Beach Resort is always over the top accommodating for the ACSW annual conference. We have had the best experience each year hosting our annual conference with the resort. Larry, Pearl, Merrie, Brittany, the entire banquet and events staff are wonderful and ready to meet every need and request. Marvin, and the entire Latitude staff were amazing servers. Thank you for continuing to do a JOB WELL DONE!

I paid for the king pool view thinking it was a room with a better view. I stayed in room 2009 (2nd floor) and could see the beach from my room, but not the pool. The only thing I could see near the pool is the hot tub because the roof of the restaurant obstructed the view. I didn't complain because I could see the beach (and honestly, I didn't remember the quirky rates). It wasn't until the night before I checked out that I went to the hotel website to confirm the check out time. That's when I saw that my room was a king angle view beach room that was at least 50/night cheaper. The hotel staff refused an adjustment saying it is a pool view room, just on a lower floor (check the picture - you be the judge). You may be able to see the pool from a room directly above mine, but I think managers should take this obstruction into account.
I'm writing this so future guests don't get duped. They also they were booked to capacity and that I should've said something on the night I checked in. What difference would that make if you're booked to capacity????

Attended a conference at the resort. Check in was simple and easy, was assigned room 616 which has an amazing view of the sunrise coming over the Gulf of Mexico and a spectacular view of the beach. Rates are reasonable considering you are beach front to the Gulf. Had dinner the first night in the Voyagers which is an upscale but casual restaurant and Latitude 30 which is the all purpose Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner restaurant. Lounge bar had nightly entertainment and there is another bar on site next to a nice pool area with plenty of chairs and deck space, some shaded and some not, plus a great view of the ocean. The staff was nice and the front desk staff was very friendly accommodating The rooms were being updated with a fresh coat of paint and mine had a mini fridge, coffee maker and easy access to an ice machine. There are plans to expand more shops (Coffee and gift shop and on the pool level there is ice cream shop with pizza. and a shop with beach essentials on the lower level. More restaurants and stores are within a short drive from the property but you could spend the entire time on property and never need to wander around. I would definitely recommend

We had a very nice stay at Perdido Beach Resort. It's in a nice location directly on the beach. Check in was easy and the valet staff were very helpful with our luggage.
We had a 1 brm suite, which was very large with direct ocean views. Everything was clean and in good working order. The living room furniture, particularly the sofa, was a little uncomfortable. Additionally, there were 6 bar stools on our balcony but only one other chair (a lounger). The bar stools were nice for breakfast but there is plenty of room for traditional furniture that could be more useful. Service was very good. We requested daily housekeeping service and it was completed before noon each day of our stay. This hotel continues to provide bar soap in the bathrooms (instead of the increasingly popular bottles of "goo"), which I appreciate.
The resort has a nice pool area with quite a few lounge chairs. It did get crowded on the weekend but it appears that many guests use the beach instead of the pool. There is quite a bit of wind on the beach. There's a well equipped fitness center.
There are several restaurants on the property. We had an excellent dinner at Voyagers. We had lunch at the pool grill and pizza restaurant. Both were good and reasonably priced for a resort. The staff at the pool grill were a little "surly".....I think they were having a disagreement amongst employees when we ordered.
The room prices are typical for a resort but not unreasonable. It's important to note that there isn't a resort fee and parking, both self and valet, is complimentary. I appreciated that they still slip a preliminary bill under your door on the last night, which makes it much easier to verify charges before checking out.
We'd stay at Perdido BR again.

An elderly lady fell in the main lobby and busted her chin open very badly. It was had been raining and there is a ridge in the floor behind Ms. Nancy's Bar. As the lady was being attended to someone went to the bar requesting paper towels and ice. The blonde female bartender was very rude but assisted by carrying ice in a bar towel. The bartender came back to the bar area mouthing under her breath, throwing drinks away that were on the tables left by the ones attending to the poor lady. The bartender started slinging chairs and fussing. The people who where administering medical attention to the lady were there staying for a convention going on the resort. I heard so many guests complaining about the rudeness if the blonde bartender that they left to take their business elsewhere. I can tell you I never returned to the Ms.Nancy's bar area again. I bet the resort lost some good revenue the rest of the night and following day. The only guests I saw the blonde bartender be kind to was your local regulars, one being the clarinet player and the lady with him. It's sad that one employee can represent a great resort in such a poor manner.

Thank you for taking the time to share your observations and review your recent visit. Please be assured that we have been in contact with the injured guest and she is doing well. We have also spoken to our bartender, who at the time of the incident thought the drinks that she removed from the unoccupied tables were empty. However, she did state that one individual expressed concern and was provided a complimentary drink replacement. Our employee expressed remorse for any misunderstanding and asked that her apologies be added to our response to you. We are sincerely sorry you had a less than wonderful experience in our lounge, as our goal is always to provide exceptional customer service to all our valued guests.
