We traveled a long way to get here from Quebec and Boston on our way to NOLA then back to Florida and Boston. It was well worth the travel. Although a little off season it is a lovely resort with more than a few dinning options, lovely piano bar area and the beach is powdery sand and GORGEOUS. It was quiet and a perfect place for a romantic getaway. Pensacola is nearby and there are a few good restaurants and nightlife nearby too, if you want more action. Service was impeccable. I would love to go there more in season, as I think some of the amenities of the hotel were shutdown when we went. Oh, but in the ballroom we saw a country music festival of some of the best in the industry, this was totally not planned by us, and I am really not a Country fan, but warmed up to it after this. So, Our trip south included Jazz in NOLA and Country here, so we both were very happy. I would recommend this resort to anyone, and it is very affordable for what it is..

A very nice, clean, modern resort, that gave us a fantastic side view of the pool, beach and ocean. A little pricey though, at approx. $300 a night. The whole property was wonderfully situated, close to everything: restaurants, donuts, shopping, Walgreens, Wal Mart, etc. We had very minimal interaction with staff, who were almost invisible. I did have a problem connecting to their free WiFi, but the front desk clerk was unable to assist me. I would like to commend the Room Cleaning staff on doing a great job of cleaning and provisioning our room whenever they cleaned it. They were always pleasant and hard working. I found the area to be very much less crowded and cleaner overall than the adjacent Gulf Shores. The pool and beach areas were well-tended and very clean and appealing. My only complaint was the light on the wooden bridge to the beach was flashing intermittently every night we were there, and no one ever made an attempt to replace it. Other than that, we had a great and memorable stay.

Wow! This resort, and the fabulous staff, are the icing on the cake! We celebrated our anniversary here this past weekend and from the moment of making reservations (THEY kept a watch on bookings and extended our stay the extra day we requested as soon as they had a cancellation) to the anniversary dinner at Voyagers (with complimentary glasses of champagne), everything was PERFECT! Of course, most places will make sure flowers are delivered to the room and many will make sure the champagne is chilled, but the PBR Team made us our very own personalized happy anniversary card! That "above and beyond" attitude carries through everything they do! Thank you for a wonderful weekend! We will definitely be back to our favorite place on the beach!

Everything closes early, restaurants, bars, etc. Which would not be a big deal if the facility was within walking distance of other places. No sidewalks to walk on and nothing on beach access side to walk to. Also, no coffee pot in room. No daily room service which also not a big deal but we had to request fresh towels 3 times before we got them. Room also was not as clean as should be, stains on carpet, hair left on shower wall. Had great views from room and nice facility with piano bar, poolside bar and restaurants but there were at least 20 people in piano bar when they closed the bar down on a Saturdaynight! Lost money there!
