Staff ended up comping my room. That was appreciated greatly, but the experience really was that bad. Phone didn't work, carpet was wet, room was extremely humid and couldn't be controlled, bathroom floor was sticky, no vacancy available to switch rooms. Breakfast was one of the worst I've had at a hotel.

After staying at the hotel from hell in Atlanta the night before, this Hampton Inn was perfect. It was clean, the bed was clean, the staff was excellent. When I went down in the the wee hours for coffee - it was hot and fresh and they let me grab danish they were putting out for breakfast even though it...

This Hampton Inn, at first glance, looks like a right-by-the-4lane strip center variety motel. However, just behind it, connected by a short road, is the village of Mountain Brook, with shops, restaurants, and a fantastic running/hiking trail along a creek. The staff at the Hampton are pleasant and professional, and rates are reasonable. 10 minutes from downtown.

We travel to Birmingham almost monthly to visit our daughter who is in college there. We have stayed MANY places. This hotel was one of our favorites. No more. To be brief, there are many hotels near the college campus that cost a lot less that provide better service. We recently rented six rooms. Out of those six, one had...

This hotel is a standard Hampton Inn. It seems to be an older model but we chose it because of the location to Samford University. The rooms were clean but small; which didn't matter to us since we were just there to sleep. The bathroom was clean but the water in the tub was hard to turn off/on. The breakfast...

This is our second visit in 4 years to this hotel. The hotel staff is excellent but it is time for renovation especially the carpeting. We stayed in a room on the first floor and it had a very musty odor. We couldn't open the window so we opened the door to the hall to air out the room and...

Great experience from arrival to departure. The bed was great and the room was great. A very nice place to stay for business or pleasure. We were there for a wedding and really enjoyed our time in the room.

This is a very nice hotel just between Homewood and Mountain Brook, AL. The access from Hwy 280 is a little cumbersome. Ask the stalk about the back exit into Mountain Brook village. It's slightly slower, but safer and convenient. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Proximity to Taziki's Greek restaurant and Moe's is a real plus. The rooms...

This hotel is in a good location; however, it is very run down and in need of remodeling. Although billed as smoke-free, the room I was given smelled strongly of years of smoke with tell-tale cigarette burn marks on the bathroom vanity. The carpet and furniture were badly stained and the room was the smallest I have encountered in many...

The room was clean. I liked having the convenience of being able to walk to several types of restaurants (pizza, Mediterranean, burritos, Wendy's). It is also very close to shopping and the highway. Great Location!
