My likes:) A budget hotel but staff handled check in promptly and were nice and friendly Hotel's location along the main road and was a stone's throw to major shopping centre like mahkota parade was a big plus point Good initiative to have free valet service My dislikes:( No lift so had to carry all my luggage and stuff up the stairs Smell of air freshener was nice but too overwhelming Our walls of our room's toilet shower area was not cleaned

I promised to come back and stay here again, well I did. Again, congratulations to the team, fast check in and out, the jockey or valet parking is still great. I do recommend this hotel to everyone, but please be aware that there is no elevator in this hotel, so, for people with disability or old folks, will be slightly a challenge for them. Other than that, is great.

Booked a superior double for three nights with an average daily rate of RM68/night. The room looked decent equiped with basic things like hot shower, air-conditioned, hangers, a dressing table, complimentary drinks and a LED TV. This room is with a window but not for standard rooms. Since this hotel does not yave a lift, I chose the first floor. Anyway, there are only two floors. Peaking is free but you need to pay a fee if you want designated lot. What I like so much about this hotel was because it's just walking distance shopping malls such as Dataran Pahlawan and Mahkota Parade. You even take a slow walk to Jonker Street about 1.5 KM away. For food, there are plenty around. Tired feet and aching body? Walk across the road and get yourselves re-energized with good massage. In fact, there are such centres around. Overall, it's was an enjoyable stay for simple guy like me who just needs a pleasant stay, with no frills and those luxuries. Will definitely come back again.

I booked 2 apartments recently on September 28th, checked in with a group of 8 people, including myself and checked out on Sept 29th. I forgotten to take my work rucksack back which had my laptop, cables, chargers etc in it and must have left it at the reception and drove back to Kuala Lumpur.. I actually had a panic attack when I realised my rucksack was not in the car when I reached home. I called Fenix Inn and Marzuki assisted me patiently and told me my rucksack was kept safely at the reception.Such a relieve to know that!! I would like to thank Marzuki for keeping my rucksack in a safe place and Ida for passing the rucksack to my friend when she went there to collect it. Thank you so very much once again! We love our apartments as well - F03 and F04! Clean sheets, bathrooms and comfortable beds! Will definitely stay here again.

Hotel location is quite good, not too far, still at walking distances from the town centre, and realy close to Mahkota Medical Centre as a good hotel for people wanting to do Medical Check Up at this hospital. A clean and modern room, quiet and OK. However, when visitors check in, the staff asking Deposit MYR 50 by making open charge on visitors credit cards, and promise to be refunded when visitor check out, that is fine. What had happened was the front staff said they have refunded me when I checked out, and she said the money now is the issue between me and the banks, however I never received my money yet since I left the hotel 18 days ago. So, the first issue, how do I know which one the dishonest party, the hotel, or the banks, since I have not received my money back. Secondly, instead charging using credit card, they can nicely ask guests to pay the deposit by cash (it is only MYR 50) as the other option, and pay back in cash when the guest check out. So, this is the "grey area" of not refunding the money that should be back to the owner, because of using complicated credit card rules, charge first, then refunded back through two banks involvements (Malaysia and NZ Bank), and incured two steps of exchange rates conversion, unacceptable practice, as you guests are not always Malaysian residents using solely MYR, unacceptable practice.

It would definitely not appear in your credit card statement as the deposit amount was being authorised only and not charged. You can be assured to get the amount reimbursed in the event it was being charged.
