We booked for a 2 night stay. The hotel looks amazing. The interior, the lighting were all amazing. Very friendly staffs right from the beginning. The rooms were big comfortable. The breakfast spread was good! The only negative thing is, the walls were so thin. We could hear our neighbours, the piping sound was too loud and annoying. It’s an amazing hotel, I hope management can do something about this as I believe they are quite a number of reviews on this matter.
Great place to feel the historic atmosphere of the town. The building, rooms and facilities have a great atmosphere and are well decorated. The staff is very helpful and will make your time in the hotel very pleasant. I also really like the breakfast in the upper historical room. Great option!
The room was very clean and comfortable. Please note that on weekdays , no buffet breakfast. This was not stated while booking nor while checking in. The food at breakfast was good but it takes time to prepare. The nasi lemak and the Laksa Melaka was really good and different . Mr Remy at breakfast wasn’t the friendliest person. The available beverages wasn’t properly explained. Jaqueline on the other hand was very very polite and kind. The high tea was not so great. Tea was served in cheap looking pot. There is no covered lobby, so when we were checking out, the bags got wet. Also note, that there are stairs involved getting to breakfast and getting to the room . So if travelling with elderly parents ,it May be challenging .
The facade and deco is nostalgic and gave us a taste of what Malacca used to be. We were served old school snacks and drinks upon check in too. Room was well appointed. The hotel also had many facilities like a pool, gym and even spa. The only feedback we might have is that the quality of the breakfast could be improved.
The rooms are beautiful but the communal areas are slightly run down. The lobby smelled of damp and the pool area is very basic with not enough sun beds. Service wasn’t brilliant at check in. It’s in a great location though and breakfast was good.
We stayed only for a single night. We arrived early and were able to put our luggage into storage while we went off to explore Melaka. When we arrived back many hours later, tired, footsore and overwhelmed by the sights, history and nature (omg the water monitors!) we were taken to our room. Four poster bed Claw foot bath Victorian feel with the colour scheme and dark wood. At 6 we went town to the bar for a predinnder drink. Thank you Deepak for the best James Bond martini. We ate dinner in the restaurant. They provided a complementary cake for our friends birthday with the staff all singing. The food was great. We can never eat another dry Portuguese beef curry as we have been ruined by how good this one was. The bed was huge and comfortable. Then the breakfast. I have no word. Luxurious, ample, incredible? Fruit, pastry basket, Malaysian mask lemak was my choice but western cooked breakfast also offers. Alvin your team were amazing, and I appreciated so much that our whole party was made to feel extraordinary and special. I never wanted to leave.…
We stayed at The Majestic on 24 July 2022. The staff took good care of us...very helpful and courteous. They serve a good spread of breakfast which is a highlight. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend.
first of all we had to wait more than two hours from our arrival for them to give us the room because the person at the reception was doing other things and we arrived around 1 pm and they gave us it at 3:30 pm. The breakfast is of low quality products, the cold cuts are bad as well as the pastries, it is only valid if you want to have Malaysian food for breakfast. It does not have a restaurant service. The room has very nice colonial furniture, the bed is comfortable and it is very clean
Very classic building. Brings you back to old memory. Service staff are very courteous and friendly. Worth a short stay. Not so suitable if you’re on a business trip. Breakfast starts at 7am but indeed the hot food is only ready around 7:15am. Gym only operates 7am to 8pm. Internet bandwidth is narrow and slow at its best. But perhaps this hotel wants you to slow down. Relax. So, it is still a good choice if you are in no rush.
Our stay at The Majestic Malacca was truly an enjoyable one. The rustic charm of the property could not be more befitting of the historical values of Malacca. The room was spacious and offers a beautiful view of the city and river. We particularly enjoyed the signature lychee tea that was served to us during check-in. Staff were polite and friendly, always generous with their warm salutations and smiles. A special shoutout to Tasha and Andrina for their hospitality and assistance. We had some items to be kept chilled as we were only leaving Malacca a couple of hours later after check-out and they were most willing to assist with our requests. Everything was handled very professionally and we truly appreciate their kind gesture. Please convey our compliments to them for a job well done! We only wished the check-out time could be a little later (we don’t want to leave this beautiful hotel so early at 1100!) and that the bar would also operate till slightly later at night. Apart from that, it was a wonderful stay and we would love to visit again real soon :)…
