Great hotel showing the historic building and cool courtyards for relaxing in after sight-seeing in this heritage location. Generous breakfast buffet.

We stayed at the extremely well-positioned Hotel Puri when we visited Melaka in June, 2010 and were impressed with its wonderful antiques and hospitality. When Mrs Ivanhoe contracted a severe bronchial virus the caring management stepped-in and chauffeured her to/from a Medical Clinic for treatment, and stayed to comfort and assist with interpretation: well beyond the call of duty... we...

This was obviously a popular hotel as there was only one room left when we book; the junior suite. The room is over 2 floors and the stairs to the upstairs bedroom was a tad steep so not ideal for those with mobility issues or young children. The living room on the entry level was smaller than i expected, the...

Staying in this fantastic hotel really made our stay in Melaka unique. We booked a a family room which was really spacious and well appointed for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The hotel was beautiful and full of intriguing rooms - lots of great spaces to hang out. It was a stone's throw from the old town shopping and we...

Was in a standard twin room for 190RM including weekend surcharge. It was more than a much nicer place I had stayed in KL. I moved the second night to the Casa Del Rio. Twice the price, but 100x better in terms of service and facilities. It's new versus old town charm of Puri - but my mood about the...

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night during a business trip. When we arrived at the front, the car jockey helped us to park our car. They do not have their own parking, so the jockey would park our car at the school parking area which is 5 minutes walk from the hotel. They would however take the car...

Not a large hotel, which adds to the intimate feel of this good value Hotel. There are many surprises within the hotel itself! Historical and regional artifax festoon around the hotel give the feel of almost staying in a museum. There is a mixture of reactions from the staff, with some not too interested, and this is the only reason...

Melaka has transformed since my last visit and boutique hotels like this are one of the key reasons the city is definitely worth driving two hours from Kuala Lumpur for. (The food and shopping are the others.) Puri, which means sanctuary, is on one of the world heritage city's oldest streets, formerly known as Heeren Street from the days of...

We had a weekend here in deluxe double with balcony overlooking the lovely gardened courtyards. Loved the authentic Straits Chinese furniture and history. Breakfast included some Baba Nyona delights. Only issue with the breakfast was the bread. It was thin-sliced supermarket bread. The front desk was friendly and efficient. I loved that it was in the heart of the historic...

I suggested my friends to make this place our stay for the weekend trip and we never regretted my recommendation. Yes, it is a little steep on the rates (considering the selection of backpacker inns just around every corner of Jonker Street) but this is worth your money if you have that extra cash to spend. You are in Malacca...
