Revisited Chong Hoe Hotel in November 2015. This time I booked a Double Bed room at the cost of only RM60 per night. Although its size is slightly smaller than the Family Room that I booked in the previous stay, it was much more comfortable. One thing I must emphasize here is that the has a very bad soundproof system.... More

I like it although it looks quite old; that makes it unique. The location is good. Quiet when I was there. The receptionist was nice too. The room was comfortable. Please be noted that there is a mosque nearby. The bathroom wasn't great (I've been to other budget hotels with cleaner bathrooms.) I've got nothing much to say. Overall, I... More

Initially, I booked a room with 2 double beds for 4 persons under Da Som Inn, at the promotion rate of RM360. Then, when I was looking for other alternatives, I accidentally found Chong Hoe Hotel, which is located right beside Da Som Inn. I guess not many people are aware of its presence because it is not available on... More

Decent hotel with friendly owner, cleanliness was very satisfactory, and the price was awesome for 2 nights stay. It is just a street away from the famous Jonker Street. Limited parking space in such hot spot area but thanks to the family, they allocated their own parking space to me. Extremely helpful and friendly family. Our room was equipped with... More

It's very near to Jonker Street... But yet, it's quiet for a good night's sleep. The furnishing is simple but comfortable. Definitely good for families; they have a variety of rooms. There is a small (shared) cooking area, and a little fridge too.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, but what really makes this hotel is great is the people -- extremely nice and helpful. If you complain about anything, they are there to fix it right away. The value for the money is excellent, the location is great. The wi-fi works well. New improvements -- a hot shower for the shared bathroom,... More

I have now stayed at the Chong Hoe Hotel 3 years in a row. It is in an excellent location being right in the heart of Chinatown on what is known as Harmony Street. From what I understand the Chong Hoe Hotel has always belonged to the same family through the centuries. The family members who live on the premises... More
