This is a very nice rustic place with very sweet staff.. The food was very good and the setting is beautiful. I stayed here during the monsoon and it was nice to just watch the rain from the balcony and relax and read. Good hospitality, highly recommended.

We arrived at Casa Britona for a two night stay during our honeymoon. Despite having booked and paid a deposit for a room we found the place to be a building site and were told it was closed for refurbishment. When we explained we had a booking we were told with a shrug that head office must have made a...

WRT your feedback on trip advisor, our reservations person Mr. Narayan had sent you an email on 7th April, 2 days ahead of your check in; stating that the hotel was being closed for emergency work to the swimming pool and that you were requested to shift to Casa Anjuna. We cannot compromise on guest safety, hence the emergency pool...

Casa Britona was originally the home of my husband’s family – a place where his father and his father’s father grew up along the banks of the river. So, when we had the chance to come back and stay in this amazing place with our family, including 3 young children, it was quite literally, the best 2 days of our...

Come home to a quaint, Portugese, rustic, authentic, picturesque, riverside boutique experience. This is not a hotel but a home that offers a touch of classic Portuguese flair. It was recommended by a friend and was such a pleasant surprise. A little removed from the touristy Goa glitz, Case Britona is ideal for those that visit Goa for the first...

I stayed just one night at Casa Britona a few weeks ago and that was enough. As others reviewers have pointed out, this is really not a hotel at all but a private residence. The owner and her family inhabit the place and thereby make guests feel like intruders. As for location, it's OK, I would imagine, if you were...

This is as idyllic as it gets - from a decrepit-looking little door on a noisy village lane, you enter what can only be described as paradise. As you enter the first things you see are glimpses of the little pool and the river through the beautifully placed fronds. All (6?) rooms have a vantage point to this view, and...

Beautiful old converted Portuguese customs house with splendid authentic old colonial furnishings overlooking the river. We had an upstairs bedroom with balcony which overlooked the pool and river; comfortable with good air conditioning. Plumbing old fashioned; hence we had insufficient hot water for showering. Disadvantages - being so close to the street, barking dogs and noisy traffic a nuisance at...

Had three days here in January. Lovely building and location and great staff. We were however the only couple staying and there is nothing going on if that is your thing. They did have a menu but it was easier to ask the chef what he had and what he could do with it than pick from the menu. We...
