This place is right behind curly's in Anjuna. So amazingly peaceful and calm that you wouldn't feel like leaving it and going. The people working/volunteering are super friendly and helpful. You'll end up meeting new people from different places. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and cozy. It's cheap and the best place to stay if you are looking for hostel rooms. Also, the dogs in the hostel are fun company. I'm definitely going to stay here, the next time I am in Goa.

This was my first time at this hostel and boy was I happy with my choice! The people are so warm and helpful that you end up wondering why you’ve been staying anywhere else all this while... The rooms are spic and span much to my satisfaction and the food at Joe Banana was homely, satisfying. One can also rent a bike or car right there as they will connect you to the right people. The best part? The numerous dogs and cats for company :) Also, the proximity to the beach is absolutely wonderful. The people running the hostel are very respectful and professional which brings me to the point that, funkey monkey is going to be my hostel of choice for the foreseeable future.

Nice place with lot of open space, well maintained. Behind Curlies. I loved the conversation with Aunty over breakfast and going over history of Anjuna and Jo Banana. Diksha and team, and Jonas are wonderful host, had great time there. Will certainly come back in Jan 😀

Very good location, and a very open and airy property. Has good patios, gardens and greenery. The doms are in cottages and has common bathrooms inside the dim cottages. Has a small bar inside, for evening drinks and socialising with the fellow travellers.preety affordable. The hostel rules. U need a passport (even if you are a local traveller and not flying in from overseas you still need a passport to be presented as a ID proof) they do accept the digital copies. There is a small tea shop/local food like snacks etc available on purchase in he front courtyard (kinda enters me to this property). Taxi services available on request. The place is full of wall arts and instagramable graffitis. and greenery. The doms are in cottages and has common bathrooms inside the dim cottages.
