I had a wonderful time at funky monkey hostel! the whole crew sophie, dk, mushir and all the others are doing their absolute best to make you feel as comfortable as possible! nothing is too complicated for them and I really had the feeling they act from their hearts. I absolutely recommend staying with them! the food is great the rooms are clean! 10000 out of 10. hopefully see you very soon!

The staff was one of the friendliest people I have met on my travels. The food on the hostel bar was excellent. Milieu was so nice there, I just felt my soul is in peace there. There is nice small beach right next to hostel.

The service was excellent and the rooms were cozy and the atmosphere was refreshing. Vijay helped us a lot while booking the room getting a bike for rent and was very welcoming. It's a must visit hostel within the budget.

It's a chill place for backpackers. The staff were really helpful and friendly. They have their own bar and we enjoyed the gig on Sunday night. Met some great souls and made some cool friends there. Overall a great experience.

i have visited goa on 8 th with my freinds , smoking and driks are not allowd in the garden area,poor management service no one take care of it. dirty room . mosquito bites you if you not wearing ur dress, smell in the bed sheet,dirty and ugly washrrom.theystolen my mobile and purse .. i never want visit again in the hotel , Guys now its up to you if u want waste ur mmod and time

Mr Alok, It is not right to publish wrong accusations and information! you and your friends started drinking heavily and were playing very loud music to the point we had complains from our neighbors, you littered the whole garden area and the dorm room,you and your friends were screaming and using abusive language to which we objected but you didn't comply and still continued with your abusive and unsocial behavior in front of other female guest. We like to keep a positive and peaceful atmosphere at our hostel and have zero tolerance towards abusive and unsocial behavior therefore we asked you to leave. We take pride in our services and always go a step further to maintain our standards and our guests satisfaction.

Coming up to hostel culture in India, Funky monkey is living it well. All basic checkbox like-- comfortable beds, great staff, superb location, common space all checked. They are right behind Anjuna's famous lane. Serves breakfast in the attached restaurant Joe Banana.
Can improve bit on cleanliness as they have cleaning staff coming at specific times and later in the day sometime place get messy. Have stayed in many hostels in Goa to my view currently they are best if to be looked from pure traveller (not tourist) prospective

Stayed here in February after staying at a different hostel. This place is great the staff are so friendly and will help you with your needs. The hostel was quite new when i arrived so was really clean and modern. A little cleaner came in and cleaned the bathroom every day which was lovely. I would have given 5 stars but we had lots of power cuts everyday and the power wouldnt be on gor hours. That was my only niggle. Apart from that definitely recomended. X

After being ripped off by shady B&B's/Hotels in Goa time and again, would always think twice planning a fun trip here, Funky Monkey - You Guys just made me fall in love with Goa, specially your hostel,the location,the ambiance,DK,Rohit,Bubble, You guys are the coolest ! this was by far the best place I've stayed. staff were all incredibly friendly and good fun to be around, creating a good family environment between guests. The rooms were clean and beds comfy. If I ever refers to Goa this place is top of my list! Extremely recomended. Full power fun guarenteed.
