Spent July 4th in "The Splash Pad.". All the kids loved it! The fireworks were amazing! Best ever!! Plus the patriotic parade with all the children was so sweet. So much to do here, no one is ever bored. Loved the unit. It was the perfect location!

My sisters and I just returned from a very nice peaceful vacation experience. We stayed in house #54 which is one level-we all over 66. The house was clean, well stocked and we had a view of the lake. I was very impressed with the facilities, which had something for everyone. There was a small pool for children and another... More

My family, 65+, hosted our annual family reunion at the CBR resort and had a blast. Great property management, amenities, and beautiful houses. The community was very welcoming and the Friday night street party was a hit with the kids. Our family rented a total of 9 houses and spent much of our day in the water. Wonderful weekend.

The resort is great! We stayed in house #34 and it was clean and very well stocked. Just a FYI for that house.. There are 3 levels (lots of stairs). The kitchen and main living area are on the 2nd floor with 1 bedroom. There is a backdoor access to this level to avoid some of the stairs. We were... More

Thank you so much for spending your family vacation with us. I must say you are correct the water was very choppy during your stay. The wind blew for 4 days strait which is very uncommon for that time of year one of the thing that Weiss Lake is known for is calm conditions of the lake for most of... More

My family came to spend the week of our family reunion and stayed in House #10 "Paradise Found". The house and furnishings were well cared for, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Sitting on the porch overlooking the mountains and lake was an activity in itself. I think it was my favorite part. The porch has rocking chairs, a granite topped table... More

We stayed over Memorial Day at the campground at Chesnut Bay and had the best time ever. Even though our stay started out a bit rough (campers DO NOT try to go under the bridge! The entrance is on the OTHER SIDE of the road), the owners and management of Chesnut Bay went out of their way to make sure... More

We stayed in a 5 bedrooms and 4 bath house and we had plenty of room. Clean with lot of room and a TV in all rooms. Bed was soft with a fully stock kitchen. A screen in porch and deck on top. Beautiful view. The kids had plenty to do from zip line putt putt golf swimming for everyone... More

We stayed at "The Lighthouse" at Chesnut Bay Resort. It was fun. This was not our first lighthouse so the layout was expected. Great waterfront location with private parking. 4 stories in all with a continuous curving staircase. The 4th floor was the best with 14+ windows, great views, small balcony, a beacon and of course a pirate. A wonderful... More

If you've never been or haven't been lately to Chesnut Bay Resort on Weiss Lake in northeast Alabama, you'll be amazed at what a hidden gem this place is. It has rental homes (my fav is House 29 - Capricho) ranging from 2-6 bedrooms, and lots of family friendly amenities; most are free. Two pools, water slides, water falls, kayaks,... More

We live in Montgomery, AL and had never heard of this little resort just 2.5 hours north of us until my aunt discovered it and sent us a link. The pictures don't do it justice! The 50 or so homes on the property are all of a similar craftsman style construction, ranging from little 1-story bungalows to 5-6 bedroom 3-story... More
