We enjoyed our weekend outing. Room was perfect size for just one night. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice area for walking. Lots of shopping and dining very close by. Will stay here again on our next adventure to Huntsville.
Great Service I recently stayed at the Huntsville Westin for a company event. The reservation was through a company negotiated rate and special portal. Having to come one day early, I booked a separate night. When I arrived late at night the first day, I was informed that my first night was good but that they had no record of my following three nights. Further they were booked out. The issue could easily have been on my side but what to do about the coming nights? At my room I called Marriott and quickly found that all of Huntsville was pretty much booked out for the next night. The manager of the Westin came to my rescue. He not only found me a room but let me keep my room the whole stay. Thank you. The service at the breakfast was equally great. They set table for groups on short notice, informed us when members of our group with breakfast passes could cover the meals of those who did not have a pass and really did everything to make things great. A special thanks to Ana at the breakfast area. Ana even got us coffee before we started breakfast while we had an early zoom meeting with Europe in our conference room. I am certain we sounded more coherent after a little caffein. We only had to ask and someone was willing to help. A great hotel for business meetings.…
My kids noticed a few small stains on the bedspread so I called the front desk to see if they could replace. They quickly moved us to another room. The second room had cleaner bedspreads but we later noticed dried urine on the toilet lid. I cleaned myself with Lysol wipes and moved on. Unfortunately after that, the room was cold. The heat struggled to get the room above 66 until the middle of the night. Not the experience I was hoping for. The staff was very friendly and the location is great. However there are some housekeeping/maintenance items that need to be addressed.
This Weston is perfectly located for access to Redstone, and lots of shopping and restaurants. The grounds include lots of outdoor seating and just outside the back gate is a large pond and a carousel that is lighted at night. The hotel is large and well kept. Elevators are fast and quiet. Starbucks on site had coffee that was very strong and tasted burnt. Our king room was good but there was a lot of mold in the shower.
Our family wedding weekend was so special thanks to the wonderful attentive customer service from Westin. The wedding was off site but our time spent at this beautiful hotel was very enjoyable. A special shout out to Jasmine and Leo for outstanding breakfast service! Also, we appreciate the special accomodations for handicap room request along with our early check in to allow for them to rest before our evening event. Thank you Ollie and also Emily Maldonado for your personal contact with us and making us feel you genuinely enjoy your profession of hospitality. Keep up your good work! People do notice and sincerely appreciate you enhancing their experience! This is why we have been Marriott members for over 15 years and will continue to do so! We can count on exceptional customer service! Many thanks.…
I stayed at the Westin Huntsville recently at the recommendation of someone familiar with Huntsville, who swore that the Westin was "the best hotel in Huntsville". I can't speak to that but can say that while overall, it was okay, it was a disappointing stay. First, upon check-in at 4:15 pm I was not recognized as a Titanium member (I know this sounds irrelevant but I travel a lot and it's nice to be recognized for loyalty), and then promptly told my room was not ready. However, for no extra charge (I would think not) I could get a room with two doubles instead of my reserved room with a king. I was tired from my 2-hour drive and accepted the room with the two doubles. While the representative went to get supervisor approval, another employee came over to assist and promptly apologized for the inconvenience and informed me there was a king room available, it was just on a lower floor (my profile indicates a preference for high floors). I went ahead and took the king room. Also during the original conversation, I had asked about a concierge lounge, to which the representative looked like a deer in headlights. At other Westin's I've always had access to a lounge but there is not one at this Westin. The room seemed clean, although there was some debris on the floor which I just picked it up, threw away, and let it go. The decor is quite outdated and worn. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were very lumpy. I was only there for two nights, so I didn't bother with requesting anything different. The staff encountered was nice and overall helpful. I probably wouldn't stay there again as I don't feel like the hotel is worth the price.…
I stay here on business regularly so I decided to stay here with the family over a long weekend. The same level of service and great rooms I've been used to was not quite the same this trip for some reason. The manager was able to comp some breakfast coupons for my kids, but our room was dirty and damp. The comforter was dirty and stained, there was hair in the bathroom floor and the AC was hit or miss at night. I will stay here again. Hopefully it was a fluke this one time, but the hotel is slowly showing signs of age.
Perfect location! We enjoyed a short walk to great restaurants for dinner and all day shopping at Bridge Street. Everything was very clean, a super friendly and accommodating staff, it was an overall great trip!
I will start with the good. Great location. Can't be beat, by the nice outdoor mall at Bridgestreet, which is an easy car drive to anywhere in Huntsville or Madison. Also, like the soap dispensers in the shower and bathtub. Makes life easier. Also, liked that the room had a bathtub and a shower. It is great that there is a bar/restaurant on site. The pool area is nice, as are the grounds. The areas that could use improvement include: No cream in the room with the coffee center, when went to front desk and asked for cream was told there was no cream behind desk but could walk over to the Element hotel (adjoins) and get some cream. Mold in shower.
I had a great visit to this hotel for two nights after driving into Huntsville from up north. Service staff at the Front Desk and Hotel Bar were very friendly. The room quality from furnishings to how quiet and soundproofed the room was met my expectations for a 4 star hotel establishment. Internet speed was very fast and I was able to stream Netflix without any issues. While the hotel is in a very busy outdoor mall space and next to a highway, I did not hear any outside noise in my room. The hotel is very conveniently located in Huntsville. I was able to get Downtown via Interstate 565 in 15 minutes, readily get up onto US Highway 72 within 10 minutes, and Redstone Arsenal, Space Center, and Research Center is even closer. One positive item to call out is that even though the hotel is 4 star, self parking is complimentary, which is not usually the case at most 4 star properties. While they do offer valet parking for a price (because I believe that amenity is needed for 4 star status), there is plenty of complimentary parking at the hotel literally at the hotel entrance, so parking yourself is recommended to save some money. If I was pressed to highlight a less than positive detail, it will be the hotel restaurant. The pricing was a little stiff, but that's also expected for a hotel restaurant. In addition, the food preparation was a little slow, but I heard one of the staff mention a wedding they were hosting was taking up the kitchen's time at the moment. The bottom line is that my stay at this hotel was great and if I return to Huntsville I would readily stay at this location again.…
