Enjoy your stay in Guntersville!
Our host was extremely nice and accommodating. Michelle gave great suggestions of things we could do around Guntersville. We enjoyed the day at the waterfall, high falls. The sangria was very tasty during happy hour. The rooms were very clean and the lavender room even smells like lavender. Our breakfast was amazing and included French toast with blueberry butter stuffing, buttermilk syrup, sausage, and cheese grits. The view of the the second floor was very nice overlooking the lake. We will have to visit again!
We stayed last night. I was very disappointed in how impersonal it was there. Other B & B's the owners make you feel like family. Also, we got to the dining room at 8:35 and our food wasn't ready until about 9:15 and was mediocre at best. I suppose I should have researched a little better as I thought it was closer to the lake. I would not recommend.
We kind of like the older B&B’s with the things that make them unique. This one is no exception. This one was built in 1910 and is a great place. Loved it he decor, atmosphere and the food. Did I mention the food?? We wanted for nothing and the evening happy hour on the porch was great.
My wife and I visited here in late May 2019. We had never been to Alabama and decided to check it out. The Lake Guntersville Bed and Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. I think there were two things that jumped out at us here. There was a wonderful view from the B&B that was accentuated by many fireflies at sunset. The breakfast the next morning was outstanding and we had some of the best grits we had ever had with some excellent French toast. We would stay here again.
We stayed one night for our anniversary. The bed was so comfortable. The room was a nice size and decorated well. My only complaint about the room was it had a strong floral scent. I get migraines easily from strong scents. Besides that it was perfect. The owner was not there when we arrived. There was confusion about breakfast time. We didn’t get to enjoy breakfast because it didn’t start until 9:00. That was disappointing because I read many great reviews of the breakfast. The owner also offers access the the kitchen as needed but we didn’t know how to get to it so we didn’t take advantage of that either.
