Good price for the area and time of year$159 a night is the cheapest I could find. Remember you get what you pay for. The room is wore out but clean. The place is not in bad shape, it just should be better. The door at the east end of the building is always left open so I am not sure building is secure. The stairway has not been cleaned in two days and someone threw their cigarette butts on the carpet. The front staff has always been in back when I walked by and he had a dry personality. Hopefully I just caught him having a rough day. The place is good for the location and cheap price, but we probably will NOT stay here again.

Hotel was close to the beach and several shops. I would recommend bringing an extra blanket and breakfast. They ran out of blankets and several breakfast items. There is a pool and hot tub. You will have to ask for towles before entering the pool.

Review collected in partnership with Choice Hotels
Never stay here. They have zero customer service. Housekeeping manager was so rude when I was asking why we didnt have a comforter and we had dirty bath mat someone used. When approached front desk about a blanket I received holiday inn Express blanket. Maybe I should stay there next time.

Check to see if your bed is clean before you get in it! Our room had a funny smell that I couldn't find where it was coming from. We got there late, about 11, and were all exhausted so we just went straight to bed. The next morning the smell seemed stronger. Upon pulling the sheets off the bed, we found that the mattress was covered in, honestly, what looked and smelled like feces. Giving this review 3 stars because customer service was great. Management changed our rate to a single bed room rate and apologized profusely for the state our room was in. One of the employees even gave my son a puzzle while we were at breakfast. Breakfast was great. Despite this disgusting mishap, the rest of the room seemed clean. We were told that the couple that does housekeeping does not speak English. Not sure if they knew how to report the mattress's state or not, but they still shouldve known that was not ok to leave in that condition.

The SERVICE was AMAZING!!! The evening clerk who checked us in was so friendly!!! The morning woman who checked us out was even better! That’s the best part of the hotel. Some of the carpet in our room was stained, BUT, the sheets were clean and the beds were so comfortable. This hotel wasnt bad for the price. The breakfast wasn’t bad for a free breakfast, there was a waffle maker, bacon, sausage, eggs (but not sure I would call them that) yogurt...etc. The location to the beach wasn’t bad either, maybe a mile away. We drive to the public access (had to pay $5 to park, but that isn’t the hotels fault). I would stay here again when in Gulf Shores. Wayyyy cheaper than the on the beach hotels.
