A very scenic campground run by TVA and managed with TVA efficiency. It's very inexpensive with lots of recreational amenities to rent. Plan to go back in the summer and rent a boat to fish a little and just ride around in the lake.

Honeycomb Campground, the popular campground and day use area owned by the Tennessee Valley Authority on Lake Guntersville, AL, re-opened in 2009. We currently have 113 short term and long term stay sites ...More available. Most of these sites have electricity and water. There is a dump station on site and a pumping service is available for campers who do not want to move their RV. The campground offers a newly built general store and laundry room. I didn’t notice any specific tent sites. I assume you could pitch a tent on any site, but would check with the office first.
