To be honest, upon arrival this place looked pretty dated. From check in to check out I have nothing but nice things to say! The room was clean, the staff friendly and the location was great. A few minutes drive to downtown Fairhope and a block from a great waterside walking park. The restaurant next door was busy so I...

Outside may need a little renovating, but the manager ,Neil, and his staff were very accommodating and friendly. This is definitely a cute mom and pop hotel! Our room had a nice granite vanity and was stocked with Bath and Body Works Products! Across the street from us was a nice beach area where were we got to watch Fairhope's...

We had to find a place to stay overnight at the last minute due to AC problems. Since we had a pet, our choices were limited. We were able to stay here. It was very quiet. The beds were small but comfortable. We stayed one night in the old section and one. In the new section. There is a BIG...

This place is ok very clean and in a good location, the rooms are ok and the staff are friendly. The air con is very noisy so you may want ear plugs. To eat there is a really good restaurant that does seafood and stake about 10 min walk away. There is also a restaurant next to this place but...

You don't pay for the motel. It's old, uncomfortable beds, not many amenities, but clean. You are however, paying for the location. A walk across the street and you are smack dab at the bay and you can easily grab a bench for a prime location to view the sunsets. You also have the Eastern Shore Trail that you can...

With nothing booked, we decided Barons By The Bay for its location, and mindful of some older reviews saying the exterior needs some TLC. Location was spot on, and it still needs some TLC on the exterior, but dont judge it just by appearances. Looking closer, we noticed a couple promising little things such as the fact that the windows...

The outside is dismal and rundown but the rooms that have been renovated aren't bad. Nothing fancy, but clean and more modern than the outside would lead you to believe. The view is not exactly what is posted on the website but there is a very nice restaurant next door. A nice family owns and operates the motel but when...

I Looked for a hotel by the seafront, which is what I got, but did not realise that it was quite a way out of the centre with only 1 resturant nearby. The hotel itself wasn't bad and was the cheapest in Fairhope, but for what you pay I have been to a lot better hotels. I was nice and...

As others have said in their reviews,Don't be fooled by exterior. Very run down, needs ,at the very least, some paint! Rooms are remodeled and very clean and nice. One complaint, the coffee cups smell bad and in turn makes he coffee taste bad.i recommend different cups! Nice view of the bay, short walk to water. Wifi was in unusable in our room which...

Nine adults and three kids descended on the motel for a 3-day family reunion. We selected Barons for the price, and the proximity to the bay, a pier, a beach, and to Fairhope proper. There was no deposit required. A real plus was that because we had 5 rooms, Anil comped us an additional motel room for use as a...

“To my knowledge, all of the rooms have been remodeled except room 30. Since it was our hospitality room for the family reunion that was fine with us. Request a remodeled room to be sure. My brother was in room 21 and said his wifi was spotty, probably a bit too far from the office. We had room 18, had no problem. Both are first floor rooms.”
