My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 nights. We found the staff willing and helpful although the male staff don't have great English. The female staff, Sukanya, was great and hugely helpful with everything. The room was great but would have preferred a large fitted sheet, top sheet and blanket rather than 2 small sheets and a blanket each. Our...

Pros. Nice Buddha Theme Cons Difficult to locate Room Yagakara too small Wifi hardly working Front gate of hotel always locked No food /room service Bad reservation management. Overall average stay and price is too much rs 2500 for small Yagakara room. They have some great ideas but need to implement them in reality.

Stayed at the Bodhi Tree for a few nights last week in the Kalachakra Room. Nice concept, small hotel. Good Breakfast of traditional Indian food. Sweet staff- very helpful. Room was awful however. Do not stay in this room! It was very dark/damp and smelled of mildew. Seems like the hotel must know this because there were 2 over-powering air...

As someone who has stayed in many properties of a similar category in various parts of India, overall, our experience at the Bodhi Tree was a little disappointing. We had read such wonderful reviews, so our expectations were high. It's important to underscore that it is a fine place that is well designed and has many positive things going for...

I would like to say the my one night stay at The Bodhi Tree was a wonderful experience of the sort of hospitality and old world generosity that is impossible to find these days. I was with a group of 7 people, first time in the City of Joy, mostly senior citizens...except for my brother and me. The rooms..no I...

We booked two rooms (bodhi master suite) for our three day stay in Kolkata. The big advantage of this place is its location near the lake area. However food has to be ordered from outside for any thing other than basic dal roti rice and subji. This basic food was fine though one needs to order in advance. The staff...

This oasis is located in the lane opp to the Rabindera Sarobor Metro. On the first visit this place is difficult to locate. Bodhi tree is a cozy place decorated with ancient artifacts. They have a beautiful verandah with creepers and plants that made the place cool and calm. The rooms were a mix of ancient and contemporary decor, neat...

what an amazing sanctuary amidst the busyness of Indias second largest city. Only a few rooms, but each decorated along a Buddhist theme, using local craftsmen and sensitive decor. Breakfast is included but meals can be made or you can order take away which will be brought to you or collected for you by the staff. I arrived here after...

I was travelling on my own and had the good fortune to and pleasure to stay for 11 nights at the Bodhi Tree. It was a perfect place to stay as it was quiet in a lovely area with the sounds of music, birds, and the scent of incense at night. The staff Sukanya Suresh, Babhu were really attentive and...
