We came to know of this place from Internet and immediately decided to book it for one night. If u wish to experience hw Zamindars lived, this is place u need to visit. Out of 70-80 rooms in this property only 10 have been restored and open for booking. Don't expect too much of luxuries in this trip. It is... More

The Itachuna Rajbari was built by the ancestors of Shri Safallya Narayan Kundu in 1766. Centuries-old ‘rajbaris’ or palaces of West Bengal are objects of absolute intrigue and fascination. The Kundu family-owned Itachuan Rajbari, rich in heritage and history, is one such opulent structure in the Hoogly district. Kolkatans who were blissfully unaware of its existence so close to city... Room decors are ethnic...bathrooms are hygienic and clean...service is excellent...food quality is awesome...breakfast is complimentary when you take both lunch and dinner...it is odd and it should be complimentary...building exterior is not that good...morning flute playing is a nice concept....nice place to spend a night with family.

Never imagined to have spent a day in absolute tranquility in Itachuna Rajbari about 90 kms from Kolkata with verdant surroundings awash in rains.Age got halved; emotions doubled. It is an unforgettable experience to enjoy the aesthetic sensibilities laid out everywhere in and around this 200 year old Rajbari. Right from the booking desk at Kolkata to the local caretaker... We went there for a weekend and it was a relaxing tour in a traditional Bengali atmosphere. . Traditional delicious Bengali food was served. Behaviour and cooperation of the staff were very good. In the evening bar-bQ was available which was too good.

It's a very good choice for a week end trip. A 250 years old very large house with large compound, big pond, beautiful garden, rooftop , temple and overall ambience of bygone times. The rooms are having antique furniture, decorative items, enough space in front of every room and having sofa, table etc. so that if people go in groups... More

Location: About 60 KMs from Howrah, on the Howrah-Bandel-Bardhaman route. Memari and Panduah locals can also be availed, if taking trains. Alternately take GT Road if you are driving. Parking space inside the palace is ample. Reservation: We did over emails + phone calls + internet bank transfer. People provided necessary information. Prior booking is mandatory to stay. Facilities: Rooms... More

Our family visited this place in March 2015. Summer was still setting in and the weather was bearable. We stayed here for 2 days. Rooms are very clean with the option of air conditioner at an additional cost (only for summers). Each of the rooms are tastefully done maintaining the original heritage essence. Food served is in excess of what... More

We visited this Rajbari with great expectations and it became true! This Historical Rajbari is very beautiful and also offer kids activities. There is a pond too. They have recently constructed mud houses, which give a real feeling of a Bengali "Graam". We stayed in Choto Boudi's room. It was a nice room. There is a huge chess board also.... More

We went for 1 day and stayed in ginni maa room which was situated at ground floor. it can accommodate 3 persons. The 1st floor and the 2nd floor room have old furniture. In the evening evening arati is held in the temple inside the compound. Also puja is performed in the morning at 10 am. The fooding is OK.
