An impromptu trip to Darjeeling with an objective to be away from the bustles of the town while also offering an opportunity to visit the town for occasional walks along the Mall Road - Ging Tea House caught our attention. While staying at a Tea Estate has always been on the cards, Glenburn with their other worldly rates did not inspire much. Lately, there have been a number of options coming up across our favourite hill station in the World and Ging was the no.1 choice. First of all they offered exceptional value and more so for Travellers planning to spend one night. We stayed 2 nights during an extended weekend. Right from arrival, every possible details have been well sought and taken after by the wonderful staff. While Andrew (Estate Manager) was a gracious host, the real superstars are Prashant, Anju, Isha and Chef Rajat who made our stay a brilliant one! From accompanying us to the Tea Processing Plant and across the rolling hills for some friendly chat with the local tea estate workers to meeting our incessant demands for food, they truly made the difference between an Excellent Stay to an Exceptional One! Rooms are brilliantly decorated with careful attention to details. The gazebo is a spectacular spot for Breakfasts and Lunches. And we were really lucky to have exceptional weather throughout our stay without any rains and spotless skies. We are already planning our second trip to Ging and strongly recommending to our F&Fs. Thank you!…
The place was good, the staff was excellent, the food was great. The bed was comfortable. Hot water and water pressure was a problem. Overall a good experience. I would come Back again. The floor was peeling off at some places. I guess because of COVID lockdown.
Please guide the chef .1)Food quality very poor . 2)added lots of soda in pakoda ,just not eatable 3)tea was to be served at 5:30.Instead served after 6:30 with lot of sugar. 4)no mats while serving break fast and tea 5)after tea at 7 they expect us to have dinner before 9.How it is possible . Food arrangements need drastic improvement 10)No Papad with Indian Veg meal

This places truly makes you feel like your in a different world! It's a beautiful house in the middle of 200 acres of tea gardens, an opportunity to connect back with yourself while living in the lap of nature. The staff is amazing and make you feel special, food is awesome and weather to die for.
