We stayed at Little Tibet for 3 nights and were extremely pleased with our experience. The resort is 0.5 miles from the center of the Mall and is well maintained. The staff is both professional and caring, and the folks in the kitchen really catered to our tastes. Please try the momos - they are heavenly. The resort overlooks the Himalayan range and affords beautiful views. Hot water supply is 24-7 and the beds are equipped with heated pads. Come enjoy a wonderful stay at Little Tibet! :)

We had a pleasant stay at Little Tibet. The food from the in-house restaurant was good. Room cleaning was prompt during the pandemic & proper sanitization was taken care of. The room heater was charged extra. The hotel was located at a prime location nearby to Darjeeling mall.
Hotel staff Dewan & Kaveri were prompt and helpful everytime.

We stayed two nights at the little tibet in the month of March
When we arrived it had just rained and the temperature was 4 degrees and we wondered how we would manage with a child but the resort ensured we were comfortable in all possible means. We booked the executive room with a balcomy wherein we had a pleasant
Time. In the mornings we felt we were living admist the clouds which is a unusual experience. The resort is near the mall road which is a bonus.
As areas of improvement the bathrooms may need a little refurbishment.

So we had booked this place post reading positive reviews & ratings on Trip Advisor. Unfortunately most services were below expectations. Firstly while we were trying to book through a travel portal, the hotel contacted us and said they would give us a free upgrade if we book directly. We fell for it! Supposedly the Executive room, which they offered us as free upgrade, was their best with a balcony and all. Reality was quite different. On entering the room, we realised that the room was ok, with a big pillar in the middle that acted like an obstruction. So if u sat on the sofa couch, you cudnt even watch tv. The balcony was a temporary kind of construction with a steel floor , which was slightly unstable and screechy. The moment we checked in there was an electric failure only in our room for almost an hour (which the staff was desperately trying to fix) The heater did not work properly even at 2 degree outside temperature so we literally froze in cold on our first night (they have a better heater next nite of course) We called for 2 additional blankets but we were supplied blankets that were dirty , with stain and without a white cover. Infact the linens were not even changed once during the 3 nite stay. We paid a bomb for this hotel but thought we got no value for money. We realised that we could have got better rooms in better hotels in darjeeling at same cost.

But the review would be unfair and biased if i dont mention the service and hospitality. The staff are very very courteous and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable ,despite all problems. The food also was brilliant with awesome variety in the buffet. The souvenir shop is also a little gem and very very reasonable with a sweet host.

Unfortunately the room and other facilities like house keeping, cleanliness etc were below par and really left us with a bad experience.

We have booked two rooms (one deluxe and one executive room) at this hotel for 3 nights but we checked out from here next day only. Except view of the Hotel from terrace balcony rest of the things are horrible which includes services, rooms, restaurant and staff are also too rude. Following are issues which we have faced and images & videos are self explanatory :

1. We have booked rooms from travel agent, hotel room tariff here is Rs 5500 for deluxe room and Rs 6500 for Executive room and they have charged us at rate of approx 7500 +++ per room per night and believe me nothing is at here is to justify this rates.

2. At the time of booking We have been told that buffet dinner will be served but after check in one hotel staff came and handover one printed copy of menu where few items were mentioned and asked to choose and they shall serve food in our room. However, we went to restaurant and ordered food from thier menu, they took almost more then 30 mins to serve a food and they also forgot few items to serve which we have ordered. Reason they gave for serving food late is that there were some party was going on, my kids were hungry and I have requested to serve food as soon as possible but staff bluntly replied that it will take time and you have to wait., Reason they gave us for not providing buffet dinner is that they don't have occupancy to serve buffet.

3. Rooms were smell of moisture, we have informed receptionist, she said its hill station so its but obvious... So i am saying Then why other hotel rooms are not stinking and smell of moisture.

4. Bathroom lock was not fixed properly you can see in video.

5. In tap water coming out was very slowly and shower was also not working, you can see the video as well.

6. In executive room there were sharp aluminum section was open near bed and besides wardrobe at floor level which can harm any kid,you can see the image here.

7. Property and rooms needs maintenance.

8. Food was also average in taste.

9. Carpet and iron board was also not cleaned..

10. When i said i want to check out now due to all these issues, no one was even bother to see and understand that.

This was the genuine feedback which i am posting herewith, i hope it shall reach to management and they improve to grow the business.

If you come to darjeeling for peace and tranquility, then this resort is ideal for you. We stayed there for 3 nights in the month of February,2020 and it was an overwhelming experience for us altogether. Now let's talk about the room, we booked executive room for us, for that they provide us with a beautiful mountain view room (no.114). They provide room heater, bed heater , electric kettle in the room. Bathroom is full with toiletries, and a dryer. We spent our we time by viewing mountains from the room balcony. All the staff members are very courteous, food is great with nominal rates. Thank you to the resort management for looking into our every nook and fulfill our every expectation.

Little Tibet Resort is situated in the mall road, 5 mins walk from view point. The rooms were clean and well sanitized, we were provided with fresh towels and glasses daily. The condiments were replaced daily. The resort manager and staff was very courteos, they provided us the best rate for stay, cabs along with suggestions on where to visit. The restaurant in the resort serves delicious food. We had no troubles during our stay there. While our visit to tiger hills view point they took responsibility to wake us so that we dont miss the sunrise.

This review might be long but useful. The first interaction was with Mr Tenzing as soon as we reached siliguri. We had a setback and Mr Tenzing's assurance was like "seeing Kanchenjunga on a cloudy day".
So in the afternoon as we checked into the property, ever smiling gem of a guy Mr Devan(i hope the spelling is right) helped us with our luggage, settled us in and calmed us with a cup of Darjeeling Tea as a complimentary service.
The property is beautiful. Its decorated, its well maintained and oozes Tibetan flavour. Ever gentle staffs be it room service, reception or house keeping. The property has a central garden type vista that overlooks the Himalayas (For us no luck) and even the rooms are well maintained.
For a moment lets say the rooms are not okay. The TV's not working, Devan solves it! The hot water aint coming, Devan solves it! The showers not working he again solves it. And mind you guys you leave the room in mess and when you return its perfect again, great house keeping and they are honorable. We left mobiles, valuables but it was kept intact.
On the whole i recommend it. Go and enjoy your stay like we did. Writing this on my way back! Till its fresh on my mind.

Go team little tibet...!
