It's clean, it's comfortable and it has an old world charm. The attention to detail, the garden and the peocock just added to the ambience. A perfect homestay! It has basic amenities and the food was home-cooked. Stay here if you don't wish to stay at the any of the overpriced chains.

Something about living out of home stays. Nice and tidy rooms, fresh linen, decent amenities, breakfast. Loved the decor and eye for detail. A very friendly and welcoming hostess. Shared the morning tea, had a small chat, got compliments on my skin *blush* Sure to return for the warmth

The rooms are in a house that belonged to a general so immediately you get a behind the scenes view of all those grand houses you drive past in India wondering what they are like inside. It is a calm in the chaos of Jaipur with a gorgeous... More

We made an overnight pitstop in jaipur while returning to delhi from udaipur. It was a comfortable, affordable stay with an accommodating staff for travellers with an infant like us. They heated water for us to carry back and have even promised to courier my baby's toy that we left by mistake. Specially enjoyed the simple dinner which was like... More

I recently visited Jaipur along with my family and an exchange student from South africa and stayed at The Generals Retreat. We felt so much at home as everyone was so helpful . The guest house is very well located, tastefully done up and is very affordable. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Jaipur.
