i was travelling solo this november. my honest observations that i experienced . i booked this property after reading about it on lonely planet and reading great reviews on tripadvisor. but honestly i found this place overrated. and would think twice before staying here again. 1. the location of the property is in the old city part, the approaching road to the property is too narrow. definitely gets crowed if more than one groups arrive at the same time, which happened with me. since i had only one luggage with me, i preferred to get down and walk the distance instead and getting stuck there for a long time 2. my stay started bad. the hotel staff who took my luggage, broke my trolley bag handle accidentally. it can happen, but their response after that was disaapointing. i requested them that can they repair the luggage (as i still had many other places to visit after jaipur) and was willing to pay for the repair cost. they told me they would finf out and let me know. and than no follow up. i felt as it was a mistake of their staff, they could be more helpful. if i could do it myself i definitely wouldnt have asked for their help. 3. the rooms as mentioned in many posts are too small. i was travelling solo and still felt there was no place to move in the room. if two people are staying in these rooms, there definitely wont have much space to move. take the bigger rooms if u do decide to stay here. 4. only excellent thing of this place is the food and restaurant staff. very helpful, take care of all your need. make sure you are having an amazing time.

The idea of Heritage Hotel doesn't mean you dump Antique furtniture & deccor all over the place. Do not fall for the name Umaid Bhawan, it has no relation with the real Umaid Bhawan Palace. This is an old building which was converted into a Hotel. The rooms are very small & no ventilation. The corridors are narrow & again filled with Antique furniture. We were upgraded to a Suit but it was smaller then a hotel room, all it had was a Sit-out area outside the room. The bathrooms were small. Dear Hotel, please remove the clutter of furniture . The restaurant food was good & the staff at the hotel were courteous.

I checked in with 5 adult and a kid in this hotel. As per the reviews, we had too much expectations. But as soon as we enter the reception we realised that this hotel is too suffocating. Rooms were extremely small and with too many unnecessary furniture. We were literally seating in the corridor to get some air. Only the best part of this hotel was restaurant. We loved North Indian wood, it was all yummy. But breakfast wasn't great. It was below average.
