This place was so nice- a great starting place for the trip. Everything about the building was the cutest thing ever (regrading art and architecture), and the rooms were so great; there were gorgeous designs all over the ceilings and it was beautiful. The rooms were a really good size, and I loved how there were two large windows. We... More

This has been my 4th time staying at Devi Nikitan with a high school group from the United States and it would be difficult to find a more welcoming place anywhere. From the moment we arrived the staff and especially the Admiral were very attentive to our needs and served as a great place for rest and relaxation on an... More

They have very good ice cream. The rooms where clean and smelled very nice. The roof top is beautiful. I like the music they play on the roof top. They also have very mashed potatoes. I had lots of fun.

Hotel is maintained by admiral, who is a delight. He personally takes interest in all the guest and guides them with his experienced advice. Hotel rooms have been maintained to retain touch of authentic haveli with enough space to relax beside rooms. Staff is well disciplined and mannered. But requires some training in service. Few areas of improvement are cleanliness... More

Finding good quality accommodation at a reasonable price can be challenging in Jaipur. Much of the older is a tad worn, and the newer parts are further away from the tourist sites. Devi Niketan is a small, well run hotel that is housed in Admiral Singh's ancestral home about 2 km from the railway station, and he personally greets each... More

I M V Suresh with my wife Prasanna Suresh visited Devi Niketan Heritage Home Jaipur. RAJASTHAN. As retired couples we undertook a road trip starting from Kerala. Devi Niketan was the first ever visit to a Heritage Home. My impressions are as follows :- If you are a guest in the last century, arriving on a horseback, with a sword.... More

Run by the ex Chief of Indian Navy, this place is managed like a warship, offering the best in hospitality, comfort, relaxed atmosphere, all served with the most enthusiastic and generous host possible, the Admiral himself. Feels like home since it is a home, staff are home trained and treat guests as family members. The garden in the front and... More

Very comfortable Heritage hotel. We were greeted by Admiral Singh, our host/owner and immediately made to feel at home. Very convenient for sightseeing and shopping around Jaipur. The staff were very courteous and helpful. A delightful experience, which included watching and flying kites from the roof on the Uttarayana Punya Kana holiday.

A neat, clean heritage hotel with spacious rooms fully equipped with modern amenities and a great staff to look after you and your family. Thanks Admiral and staff for helping us with special food for my little baby and not charging me for the extra bed :) Will be back soon with family again as we have places left to... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Devi Niketan is a family owned and operated Heritage Hotel in central Jaipur which was inaugurated on April 2008. It stands on a big plot with large, lush green lawns in front and rear of the building, a large parking area and a swimming pool. A double storied heritage house, it is part of the 140 acre estate of the former ruling family of Chomu. Adjacent to Devi Niketan is "Govind Niwas", the residence of Admiral Madhvendra Singh and his wife Kumu, who own and run "Devi Niketan". Govind Niwas too stands on a big plot with plenty of greenery. Taken together the two properties stand on a two acre estate which gives a feeling of space and tranquility - even though it is surrounded by a bustling city. It is in a "Happening" neighbourhood with plenty of eating places, Ayurvedic massage parlours, shopping malls with food courts and movie theaters, banks & ATMs, gyms - all within one kilometer. While we do not have an a la Carte Restaurant, a Buffet Breakfast is available and Dinner is served if ordered. ... more   less
