We had an excellent family outing at Salasar and Jaipur having stayed overnight at Hotel Jaipur Ashok on 16th of October 2021.
The hotel is an excellent centrally located heritage property.
Besides visit to Salasar Balaji temple, other highlights of our Jaipur sojourn included shopping at Baapu Bazar and drive along iconic Hawa Mahal.

A prime property of RTDC, in the middle of the capital city of Rajasthan state, with the headquarters of Rajasthan Tourism in the neighborhood. Amazingly run-down, shabby, with a look that even a "dharamsala" would not have. Long queues for paltry breakfast, dirty sheets and covers, broken fittings, an ancient CRT TV.. the list is endless. The hotel needs to be demolished ASAP and its over-bearing staff transferred to remote locations. I don't think it can be renovated or restored or rejuvenated, seeing its present condition and attitude of staff. RTDC senior officials also need to leave their air conditioned chambers at RTDC and take personal interest in the running of the organisation they are supposed to serve. They are much more to blame than the lowly staff actually stationed at the hotel.

Room was not so good but more than that what is important is management. we booked a hotel for one day, and on same day we approached in the morning around 9 , Management told us they cant allow checkin before 12, Although room was empty still they asked us to wait till 12. And when we approaced at 12 they said sir it will take atleast 20 minutes for cleaning and all so again we waited for 20 minutes. Room was not hygenic. out of 3 only one power socket was working, out of two lights only one was working in room. i asked for one water bottle, and they charged us above MRP. water bottle MRP was around 19 but they charged 30 rs per bottle.

Hotel Teej is situated in a good location beside Park Inn hotel. It is an economic stay and ensures adequate amenities to the guests. The AC rooms are slightly small. Restaurant staff are very attentive and serve hot immediately prepared food. Dining Charges are reasonable.

The hotel needs more maintenance and cleanliness.

Do not expect the luxury but cleanliness was there. food was good and value for money in peak season (considering we traveled between Christmas & new year).
Located at center of city. nice stop over for us while we were on long Rajasthan road trip.

The hotel is not fancy, but located conveniently close to the station. Since it is a RTDC hotel, the government city trip buses stop here. The staff was very friendly. There was a problem with the heater in our room with smoke coming out one morning. They immediately changed our room.

Did not stay here, but had to wait for the RTDC tour in the lobby. It was dingy and dim with much need of repair. For example the linoleum was peeling away from the floor and taped up with scotch tape in many seems. There were no to minimal decorations with large TV from the 90's standing on a table with a cloth table cover.

The reception did not speak English, thus, it was hard to communicate especially when the tour was close to half an hour late. Thankfully there was a young Indian couple who I found out was waiting as well and they were able to tell me that the tour was on and that the driver was expected in 15 minutes.

When I initially visited the hotel to purchase the RTDC tour, the man standing near the reception (I'm not sure if he was an employee) told me that the only safe hotel in Jaipur is the Teej - he gave off such a shady feel that I gave the tour a second thought.

It's located at the heart of city, huge rooms at very low cost , can be booked over phone as well as by internet , very affordable price and safe place to stay.service is so so and hotel is bit old. It's purely for budget travellers ,it's one of the cheapest at Jaipur.
