The Sea Green, which is NEXT DOOR to the Sea Green South, but part of the same complex, is a little faded, but has everything onI could need – a big, peaceful en-suite room with air-con, kettle, fridge, and balcony which, in my case, overlooked the Brabourne Stadium, owned by the Cricket Club of India, and had a side sea-view on the other. A very nice breakfast with omelette and fruit, was served in the room – and the room boys were super-vigilant! Laundry could be picked up in a morning and returned, pressed, in a newspaper parcel tied up with string, by the evening, for the princely sum of 40 rupees (c40p). The only disappointment was the irregular wifi, though the helpful reception staff always did what they could to get it back! Would definitely recommend this place if you are on a budget.…
I stayed in this hotel to participate in Tata Mumbai marathon 2020, i had stayed here for the same purpose last year also. This time i found the hotel staff to be even more ignorant about basic courtesy. I faced a harrowing time sleeping in the night . Bunch of hotel staffs were continuously chatting among themselves in loud noise just infront of my room (207) . I asked them not to do so repeatedly but they didn't heed to the same. Even after repeated requests late night ( around 12:00 midnight) one staff just sat infront of my room and started chatting on phone in very loud noise . I couldn't sleep that entire night . Next day morning i even complained at the reception, but it seemed they are not interested to listen about it. Thats it Im done and never gonna stay in this in any of my coming trips.…
The location is fantastic, the view of the Marine Drive and the Arabian Sea from the deluxe suite is just mind blowing. One can easily spend an entire day just relaxing on the balcony, sipping over tea/coffee and enjoying the mesmerizing view and the sunset. The suite is nice, the staff are very helpful and the services are prompt. The wifi is reasonably strong. The complimentary breakfast is simple but nice (bread+butter+jam, tea/coffee, poha/cornflakes/omelette). The only thing the hotel lacks is a restaurant. However there are plenty of restaurants around, so not really a huge issue. I greatly enjoyed my stay and would positively recommend others.
They have two hotels dont get confused one is Sea green Hotel and another is sea green south. they are adjacent with same compoundwall. Checkin was smooth. Rooms are Old type not value for money. Average clean. Old type AC . Old Bathroom but its huge. They would have maintained it well. Staffs are cooperative. I recommend it for average stay.
The sea view is really the only thing this hotel has going for it. The ancient AC has no remote, so either it is on or off. When you check in they give you a thumb-size peg of the cheapest shampoo and soap you have ever see (meanwhile the rooms cost more than 4,000 rupees a night...). Upon check in, no one volunteers information about the wifi password, breakfast etc. There seems to be no housekeeping quality control either and so when I checked in well after 12:30, the room had no toilet paper (which is actually standard here), no tea bags or instant coffee. I didn't even ask for these things but when I entered into the room the man who showed me it saw they were missing. Shouldn't this have been done before my check in? Nor does anyone show you basic things in the room (how to switch the geyzer on) so you constantly have to call down to the reception for small things. When I ordered breakfast (you have to take it in your room) they included no butter or jam with the toast, so I had to call down. Then someone brought it, but only one tiny packet of butter that was barely sufficient for one of the four slices, which were already cold by that point. So then you have to call again...and so on and so on, It's very clear that the owners invest nothing in training of staff and want to maximize profit to such an extent that everything is done on the extreme cheap.
