Everyone and everything at the Residency was focused on giving the best service possible. This was the case from the time of arrival (being offered dewy cold water & a snack as I checked in), through my stay (breakfast includes a (small) buffet with very fresh western & Indian dishes plus a cook who will make eggs & omelets on...

I stayed here for a few days in late January and it was a great choice! The hotel is easy to find and the staff were very friendly and helpful. On top of this, there was a great breakfast included in the cost of the room. The fort area is also a very nice place to stay. There are a...

We went to Mumbai for a 4 day break from Goa, my partner chose The Residency based on on line reviews and the Lonely Planet. Over the period, we didn't encounter a single member of staff who wasn't friendly, helpful, enthusiastic and efficient. Breakfast was included and was excellent, with the restaurant staff being extremely good even by the overall...

Brilliantly situated within walking distance from the main station and well-placed for all the sights of Fort Mumbai. The hotel is easy to find and reception staff were excellent. Standard rooms are small but well-maintained. The highlight was the staff in the coffee lounge where we had breakfast each morning. The food was good and service exceptional. A very good...

This hotel is very well located for seeing so many of the sights of Mumbai and is in one of the better to stay surrounded by so many historic and British influenced buildings. The hotel is great in terms of the wonderful staff and their great service mentality. The elderly owner brings his old fashioned values and hospitality to his...

There are not many mid-range hotels in the Fort area. The Residency is very popular and understandably so, given its well maintained rooms and good value. An excellent breakfast was also included. We are giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because our room was windowless and, because of the lack of ventilation for the A/C and shower, quite damp....

This hotel has been brilliant. We have been in India now for 4 weeks and have stayed at 12 hotels. The Residency Fort has quite definitely been the best. The comfort of the rooms (compact, but we don't mind that), the cleanliness, the cheerful and helpful staff, and the satisfying buffet breakfast - all have contributed to a most pleasant...
