To celebrate my wedding anniversary, I had booked a room at the St Regis for a 1-night staycation (July 3/4 – room 2507). Our staycation included an upgrade to a higher room category (subject to availability) and 2 meals – breakfast and lunch or dinner. At the time of check-in, we were offered a room upgrade and wished on our wedding anniversary by the staff. We also informed the staff that as we had checked-in from another 5-star property and had heavy meals, we would prefer to have lunch on the next day as part of our package, and they obliged. The room was quite spacious with nice views of the Arabian Sea at the backdrop of the towering skyscrapers of Lower Parel. We were happy to see the nice selection of teas in the room. The only complaint would be the toiletries, which in spite of being luxurious and internationally sourced had a mention of several chemicals (SLS, etc.) in the ingredient list. Personally, I would have preferred to see bathing products with chemical-free and with natural ingredients. We had some minor issues with the TV and mini refrigerator which were fixed by their staff, although the mini fridge still did not cool the cake that we had kept in it. However as the room had good air conditioning, we kept the cake outside the fridge which did not cause an issue. On the next day the breakfast buffet was at the Seven Kitchens and it was extensive as it could get. My husband enjoyed some sushi and smoked salmon besides other dishes, and I gorged on some egg benedict. The staff was quite attentive and the service was impeccable. We liked the gesture where the restaurant made piping hot vada pavs and went to each table to offer them. Also, we were regularly asked if we wanted anything additionally and were served tea and coffee towards the end of the meal. Post breakfast, unlike other hotels we were not hassled to check-out and we were able to take our time to relax and freshen up and leave around 1:00 p.m. The check-out process was smooth and quick. We then proceeded to the Seven Kitchens for a set-menu lunch and went in for 2 Asian meals and 1 Indian menus. The number of items in the set menu were impressive and the food was absolutely brilliant. I would particularly like to mention the Prawns Gei, Beijing Lamb and Cacoa 64 which hit the sweet spot. My mother who had the Indian menu, loved the taste of the butter chicken. The service was fantastic and Mr. Sanjiv did a brilliant job of taking care of us. As we could not finish our meal and preferred parceling the food rather than wasting it, the management agreed with our suggestion going against their standard policies. Our overall experience was excellent, and we hope the hotel is able to have its original glorious days back once the impact of covid starts to disappear.…
Amazing hotel with great food from Seven kitchens, Thanks for the complimentary pastry Mr Ceaser (Butler) Special thanks to Mr Siddhesh Bhosle from Luna bar for his hospitality services. Looking forward for many more stays at St Regis with good deals.
I stayed at this hotel (room 2717) for my friend's wedding in September - October last year. It truly lives up to the reputation garnered by this hotel & by Marriott. Being right above of one of the best shopping venues in India (Palladium & Phoenix Mills) is an icing on the cake. The service was impeccable right from then check-in till the check-out, the breakfast lounge on the 37th floor & Luna (the wedding venue on 38th floor) every one was very courteous and attentive to all the requests. Special mention to concierge (I don't recollect the name) at the ground level for being helpful with all my queries. All the aspects of this hotel are well taken care of. All the best!!
