The camps are situated at a walking distance from the Lake. This is the spot where all camps are placed by the forest department. They have a nice cozy dining area. They offer nice basic food. They have a number of tents but have only one toilet to support all the footfalls. The bedding is placed on the floor but... More

In such tough terrain Neil & his team @ Parasol tent resorts take good care of every one. No one reaches for lunch there & we did. The team cooked such a lovely khichade for 4 of us for lunch. Oxygen being less it takes long time to cook. It's experience one must have when you are in spiti vally.... More

After the hampta pass trek,we headed to chandratal lake.As we could not get a vehicle to Kaaza stayed in this place. In spite the remoteness of the location, happy to see the huge comfortable tents and all other facilities.People are so humble.Campsite itself is so picturesque.

Parasol camp is the oldest camp operator near the Chandratal lake site. They have recently pitched new comfortable and large sized swiss tents. We were one of the lucky few to have been the first set of visitors to these tents. We were welcomed by Neel Thakur - brother of Mr Bishan Thakur the entrepreneur who runs this camp. The... More

We visited Chandratal and stayed at parasol camp sometime in end June 2016. Can't express in words the amazing hospitality of Mr Bishen and his team. They made our stay at the camp so comfortable inspite of the harsh terrain. The tents were warm and comfortable. A short distance from the Chandratal lake Parasol camp is a must do to... More

We stayed at Parasol camp and selected a full moon night to stay at the camp site to experience it. The camp site was quite nice and camps large. Mr. Bishan who owns the camp site informed us that this Swiss tents were installed first time by him this year only. The blankets were quite good to keep us warm.... More

I visited this place (Chander Taal campsite of Paeasol) as part of a women's only group tour. Had a wonderful greeting from the manager in charge during the day, who with his witty humour and welcoming attitude made us feel real comfortable even though we were worn out by the long and difficult drive from Kaza. Until evening it was... More

Chandertal is really a beautiful and must-do places in Spiti valley tour. Camp Parasol, situated near to Chandertal provided us a really amazing experience of campsite. Although the camp was buzzing with people, but that din't really bother us. Bishen ji/BSNL was a really charming person, having a good sense of humour. The tents were really good, big and cozy... The location of the camp is good; a short walk to Chandratal Lake. We were there for a night earlier this month. The tents are far too many and perhaps a smaller campsite will make management more effective. There were far too man people walking in and out of the campsite and some did not look as if they were... More
