The hotel is nice with great location. In-house restraunts are also good. This is my preferred place when in Delhi for business. However service is getting slow. I guess hotel is short staffed and things slow down in evenings and weekends. Try to get rooms on higher floor.
I have been visiting and staying in this hote for last 13-14 years, everytime I visit , staff there makes me feel like home. Staff right from the valet parking, porch to the front desk ( special mention of Kapil at Front desk ) to restaurants. This is great property with great location and service. Highly recommended
This is my second stay at Shangri-La Delhi this year. Advanced booked a premier room at a premium price too. I wanted to speak to the front desk and couldn't use the room phone... Not sure when it was cleaned last. My family being loyal Shangri-La guests for many years at their Bangalore property, this was least expected from an popular international brand like this!
This is a very comfortable hotel, but very business like. The rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is great, and they even have a chai man. Food options are endless. I never felt welcome in this hotel and it lacks any warmth to the leisure visitors, but I think it is mostly used by business people, so they are efficient in what they do. But you can’t take away from the overall Shangri-La experience.
Good hotel, a little dated but great breakfast. Jade member upgraded to a suite (however my friend who doesn’t have status had the same upgrade) The pool however smelt really bad of sewage and also didn’t serve alcohol (not sure if it wasn’t allowed by the pool or just not on the menu) which is a bit crazy to say the bar is next door.
The hotel is excellent to stay. The staffs are excellent especially house keeping staffs like vikas and jeet pal done a great service. It is nice to stay for business travel. The food and ambience is good
We did a group booking this year at hotel Shangri-La, Connaught Place, New Delhi and it was a very bad experience. 1. Hotel cancelled the reservation without informing us. 2. Then rebooked at higher cost and charged us extra. 3. There was no appropriate response to our calls. 4. No dedicated Manager was assigned to attend the corporate clients. 5. Very Rude behaviour of staff and unlike hospitality industry there was non-caring attitude. 6. Very bad experiance related to sales and accounts teams.
I found particularly Rajendra & Virendra they are very dedicated & professional and make my stay enjoyable . Hotel is very high standard & conveniently located. I recommend this fir both business & leisure purposes
My stay at the Shangri-La has been very enjoyable and pleasant. Rooms are well kept and service is top notch. The breakfast buffet also has an excellent selection to choose from. Suraj and Jitenden have been attentive and made sure our stay is comfortable and enjoyable.
I stayed here beginning of November. It was my first time in Delhi and I had a great time here. The room was very clean, the beds were super comfy and housekeeping took excellent care. I forgot to catch the housekeeping attendant name who took care of the floor I stayed in but he did a great job. Breakfast was great at Tamra and the Chai was amazing. Akash at Tamra was very helpful and took good care while I dined there on my first day. Front desk team were excellent. Concierge team were amazing too. Food at Shang Place was pretty good. The portions were pretty big for one person. The team here were very kind and respectful. I think his name was Aqib , sorry if I got it wrong was very helpful. Apologies couldn’t catch her name but the lady with short hair there was very kind too. Overall my stay was lovely. Thank you!…
