So, Taj has reduced it's prices and so does its service quality.I booked an executive suite along with club lounge facility as additional and complimentary breakfast. Now, let me go point wise The room, it's good but nothing great about it which can amuse you. Overall it's fine. We have just come from our buffet breakfast. Really a forgetful experience. Especially when I was expecting to give my mother-in-law THE TAJNESS experience. The menu was so limited that they printed on both the side of pamphlet. We ordered chole bhature that appeared stale overcooked with so much oil. I personally prefer to go to Haldiram and have a good plate of chole bhature or even on Agarwal sweet corner. Ordered a bowl of fresh fruits and they served only papaya and a musk-melon. Seriously Taj you can't even afford to buy fresh fruits or so lazy not to serve. We ordered almost everything as they have limited items in the menu. The dosa, the pancake and the omelette all were pretty average not so good. See the point why I am writing this that we reside in Delhi only and checked in to have a break from this pandemic. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. TAJ PALACE in order to lure customers have definitely compromise with their quality. The only silver lining was Hi-tea where the pizza, papdi chaat, chicken tikka along with the tea and coffee. Even in the club lounge, the number of drinking option in the cocktails and scotch whisky was very very limited. In short, just come for the room nothing else.

My husband and I decided to get ourselves a staycation because of a lot of external stress and circumstances building up. We had noticed that hotels were opening up, but did not want to travel outside the state as precaution and responsibility. After a bit of research, we settled on the Taj Palace Delhi, and checked ourselves in for a four night stay. I haven’t previously stayed at a Taj property and this was my first experience. It truly lived up to all the hearsay about the brand. The staff was hugely accommodating about my allergies and asthma and provided us a room with wooden floors after shifting us from a carpeted room. They are working on minimum staff per current advisory, and understandably everyone must be stretched thin. The service industry is a hard and tough one in general. However, in all our interactions, the staff seemed to be on the top of it all, and was prompt and committed to enhancing your stay. What stood out to me in it all was how grounded, pragmatic, and kind the staff was. No matter what category of your booking, everyone is welcomed and made to feel valued. As it was a staycation, we mostly stayed at the hotel and ordered in-room dining or ate at the restaurants. The food was marvellous, delicately spiced and scrumptious. A good tip for visitors who are cautious is to sit in the outdoor seating area as much as possible during the current times to ensure safety for everyone and yourselves. If indoors, do try to keep your mask on as much as possible. The restaurants have arranged distanced seating to their best ability in addition and sanitise all tables beforehand. It goes without saying that the hotel was entirely prepared to handle the current advisories for Covid. For one every common area was frequently sanitised and sanitisers are everywhere, including masks for use. Temp checks are done upon entry to the hotel and sanitising stations are at the entry and restaurants. Even your luggage is sanitised upon entry. If anything, more visitors personally could do with observing mask wearing and distancing to enable the Taj staff to take better care of everyone. It was a brilliant stay at the Taj, and I will look forward to staying at one of your properties again! Thank you Taj Palace.
