If you love Dhaba food during your road trips then you must visit the Dhaba Food Festival at the Blooms. I for one have always loved Dhaba food, therefore knowing that the restaurant at Eros Hotel had the ongoing Dhaba Food Festival I had to try the food. It was wonderfully set up with food from the Punjab region (Ambala to Amritsar) displayed with all the gaiety and fervour of a Punjab road trip. The sound of the tawa takatak with keema, kaleeji and mutton laced with spices sizzling on the pan was enough to make me dash for it. I had to have it s the aroma from the tawa was absolutely tempting. The live counters also had amazing juicy galauti kababs, piping hot puffed up kulche and chole, fried prawns, fish tikka, boti kebabs, and hot kesar badam milk being served with even hotter jalebis. I m sure anyone who knows and loves Indian cannot ever resist it, I could not. "We travelled to Punjab to pick and select dishes and to recreate the ambience that would take our guests to the city of Punjab and its robust, spicy cuisine loved by all," I was told by the hotel team member. And the team was successful in giving the ambience exactly to the guests with vibrant and colourful decor and food tasting delicious. Among the mains were sarso ka saag, mutton curry kadhi, fish curry and chicken curry. Since the festival is on only till the 30th of November, that too only for dinner (7 to 11 pm) rush to satisfy your dhaba cravings in a luxurious ambience. Also the restaurant as well as the entire hotel right from the entrance makes sure that the covid social distancing and other protocols are followed strictly so don't forget to take your mask in case you are heading to satisfy your taste buds. Happy eating :) Arati Thapa .

Rajendra is a super host. I came with my two kids after a very long time. He welcomed us and took such good care of us. I was so paranoid because of the pandemic. I have to say I was well looked after by him wish him a bright future..

The Delhi Winter is officially here. Temperature has started its downward journey. And it’s just the excuse you need, to treat yourself to some sumptuous Punjabi fare that will rekindle your memories of the food available in the Dhabas, alongside NH-1. The Eros Hotel Team led by the talented and warm Chef, Sudarshan Bhandari had taken a trip all the way from Delhi, covering Ambala to Amritsar en-route. The objective of the trip was to taste the food served at the most popular dhabas in that belt, understand the intricacies and recreate the same magic, right here in Delhi. It won’t be wrong to say that the team has done a wonderful task of getting it absolutely right. From the extensive menu, we were able to taste only some of the options. And to say that every single preparation is absolutely delicious, will be an understatement. So, here, let us shed some light on some of the preparations we tried. For starters, we had kharore soup, fish tikka, prawn fry and boti kebab. Each and every bit was an excellent preparation. The mildly spiced, flavourful soup was a soul-warmer and the star amongst the starters. Every sip was quite a delight. Don’t miss it. For the main course, we stuck to the staples. Sarso saag, makke roti, kadhi, mutton curry and garlic naan. The kadhi stole our hearts. Striking the perfect balance between the spice quotient and tanginess, it was absolutely divine. Saag didn’t disappoint us at all. As always, the mutton curry inspired from the dhabas at Ambala, found its soul mate in the crisp garlic naan. We were simply in a state of food coma after devouring this spread. Now, it was the time for dessert. Though I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, I gave in after a bit of insistence. So, it was jalebis with rabri for me. The thin jalebis with just the right amount of sweetness, topped cold rabri and a sprinkling of dry fruits is the subject of gastronomic dreams. I am still having a difficult time remembering when was the last time, I had such a brilliantly made jalebi-rabri combination. So very good it was! In a nutshell, if you too prefer Punjabi cuisine, this is a must visit for you. Trust me, every bit is absolutely worth your time and money. Go for it. I love food cooked in Dhabas. Besides the taste and flavor, the food brings the history of the place where it is cooked. We experienced the ethnic dishes sprinkled with a smile and warm hospitality at Eros New Delhi. The hotel curated a festival called Dhaba Iss Baar – Amritsar to Ambala. They focused on dishes from Ambala, Patiala, Ludhiana, Jalandar. Research - The team of Eros travelled all through the authentic dhabas of Punjab and created a culinary odyssey for guests. Innovation - What we loved most was that all the dishes represent innovative flavors of the Dhaba of Punjab right from Ambala to Amritsar. Covid protocols - Not only that extra Hygiene was taken at the hotel including sanitized cutlery, masks worn by the servers, sanitizers on tables, extra distance between tables. Decorum - The highlight is the decor and usage of props like trucks, well, charpoys that bring together a harmony of colors and aroma. Food Review - You can relish authentic dishes from Ambala, Patiala, Ludhiana, Jalandar. Most recommended dishes are Lawrence Road ka Paneer Tikka, Sarhadi Bharwan Aloo, Beera ka Roast Chicken, Mirch Pakodas, Malai Soya Chaap, Saag Makhani Kunna Gosht Patialashahi. Not to mention are the jalebis with rabri. End the delicious meal with Kadhai doodh. Festival: Dhaba iss Baar - Ambala to Amritsar. Rooms stink and so do their washrooms. Staff could be more polite. Property is really old and urgently needs renovation. Furniture and walls needs to repaired. Find the attached photos to know what I am talking about.
