Even the Gods are asleep at 2.45 am in Delhi but not the good people of the Leela Palace hotel. As soon as we landed and walked through the security gates, I got a call from Govind, the hotel airport representative, that he was waiting for us outside. I wasn’t worried as the hotel has never failed me rain, hail or thunder!

Whisked away efficiently into the luxurious BMW 7 series car, my phone connected instantly to the car's Wi-Fi, resuscitated, and jumped alive with a hundred beeps and rings. Shishu Pal, our driver, greeted us enthusiastically, informed us of the birth of his baby daughter Arahita and made plans for the afternoon.

As usual, the doormen - the best in Delhi, greeted us warmly, and Ajit asked about the rest of the family. The security personnel welcomed us with Namaste and huge smiles. Our bags disappeared to reappear miraculously in our room after 20 minutes. Stepping inside the double doors of the palace hotel, it only gets more breathtaking. The three guest relation executives give us a traditional welcome which I love and never get tired of. Inhaling the fragrance of the tuberoses in my garland deeply, we were ushered directly into our room, where check-in took all of two minutes.

Numb to the outside bustle, we crashed instantly and surfaced in the afternoon with excellent Darjeeling tea brought to the room. Preeti had arranged our PCR tests in-house for our return journey, so that was a breeze, and we set out ready to explore. Shishu Pal was waiting for us. Sunil is present at the bell desk, smiling as always. Gurcharan, the doorman, and all the security personnel welcome us warmly.

Around midnight we felt peckish and requested the magical combination of Chili cheese toast with extra green chili, crispy golden French fries, Hakka noodles with vegetables and extra garlic and hot sauce, Shitake mushroom and tofu dumplings with soy ginger sauce on a bed of jasmine rice. There was complete silence as we devoured the utterly delicious piping hot meal, raising our head only to tuck into the iconic and decadent chocolate dessert – the molten chocolate lava cake. It was a tiny cake, but honestly, the lava flowed like a volcano. This was definitely not the dinner my mother ever served. A big thank you to the Chef for conjuring up this unparalleled meal in the middle of the night.

The following day at the Club Lounge, Gaurav helped us place our baked goods orders at the hotel bakery to be delivered around the city. I missed a few familiar faces at the Lounge, but then the last year has been uncommonly unkind to Delhi residents. Back to the airport in the afternoon, where Prakash met us at the curbside and helped us inside the airport until immigration.

The hotel staff is simply phenomenal. Particularly impressive is the team's longevity, some of whom I have been seeing since the day the hotel opened, and that sense of investment in each of them. As Preeti said, the hotel looked after them during the pandemic, and the least they could do was the same for the hotel.

I have stayed at several hotels in New Delhi and cannot dream of staying anywhere other than The Leela. I am so appreciative that a place like this that values customer service still exists. The Leela is an example of excellent hospitality and how business must be conducted, which is an art we are losing fast. The overall service and the facilities are beyond exceptional, beyond five stars.

The Leela is the best hotel I’ve ever had the privilege to stay at. It is truly a place I never want to leave, and if I do, it is with the hope that I return soon.

Staying at The Leela Palace is a sublime experience. The quality of the hotel surpasses many expectations. From the moment you pass the gates you enter into a world of sophisticated class. The finery penetrates to the core of the hotel leaving no stone unturned to detail. The rooms are decorated with a regal elegance with a soothing ambiance that welcomes you the second your foot steps through the door. The rooftop infinity pool escapes reality with a feeling of floating high above Delhi. The restaurants cater to all worldly palette offering high end quality cuisine. My booking was made with ease and professionalism by Mr Vidur Sharma. A special thank you to Anu Tom for his attention to detail in his role at the hotel. These men are indeed an asset to The Leela Palace Hotel with such high standards in work ethics. The hotel was extremely thorough with hygiene and safety following protocols in place making sure they are putting peoples wellbeing at first priority.

I travel frequently for work as well as for pleasure and I've stayed at the Leela Palace, New Delhi for both business as well as vacation. This is the best property I have ever stayed at, I can say this with confidence. While the footprint of the hotel is small compared to other more palacial Indian properties, there is function and beauty in every inch of the Leela Palace Hotel. The service is impeccable. There are no flaws in the rooms, they are not only beautiful and utilitarian but always clean and equipped with everything you need, from multi-use sockets to an incredible shower (awesome water pressure). The staff is discreet, internalizing needs of each guest and accommodating them with personal touches each time you visit. Food is great- whether indian, japanese or american cuisine, they have options for everyone. My favorite element of this hotel is the gorgeous rooftop pool, with views of the city below but extremely relaxing and secluded. I always recommend this property to my friends and family without hesitation and would recommend upgrading to Club Room access. Preeti is a fantastic steward of the hotel's values and is always accommodating to our every request when we arrive.

The transit Quarntine stopover at Leela Palace Hotel in New Delhi for 3 days ( 22 - 25 July ) has been a memorable experience.

Right from the moment our vehicle steered into the reception porch, it was observed that the requisite Covid precaution / protocol was in place to ensure the purpose and safety of the guests, with a feel of dedidicated, commited, curteous staff crew. The preliminary check and disinfection spraying of passengers and the accompanying baggage was in conformity of safety measures.

Since we arrived early so we were for sometime seated comfortably in the banquet hall with an adequate arrangemenrs of light refreshments. The hotel crew in the meanwhile got engaged in compiling the registration process.
Soon after, the guests were called for Rapid test and escorted to the allocated room. Whilst room registration, the preferance of the meals, or the necesscity of medical assistace etc were as well noted.

The interior decor and amenities there in were in conformity of any 5 star hotel or the brand "Leela "
Having seen, felt, expereinced the warmth of goodwill, service, and commitment in pursuit for excellence of the staff in general and Monseier Anu Thomos, Ms. Priya in perticular I have no hesitation to record my thanks and appreciation for their personal attention to resolve the petty requests I or my fellow guests ( Qantas Passengers ) came up with. The two earmarked staff undoubtedly are an asset to your organisation, and I do take this opportunity to thank them whole heartedly, and look forward to see them excel! They are geared to uphold the requisite needs of the Service Industry in letter and spirit!

This hotel is pure luxury. All the staff were so warm and welcoming. I cannot single out any particular person, everybody we came in contact with was polite, kind and made us feel safe and comfortable.
We arrived at the hotel at 3am and quickly ushered to our room to relax and be given a personalised check in.
Breakfast is served to 10.30/45 in the Qube but 11.30/45 in the Club Room. We opted for this - our freshly cooked eggs were brought to our table along with fresh coffee and tea. There was also cereal, fruit and pastries available. It was the perfect start to the day.
The Indian restaurant is amazing, the food and service were second to none. The club room, during the early hours of the evening, had complimentary drinks and snacks. The room is very comfortable and equipped with sofas, tables and a TV.

Having stayed at a few different hotels in India we felt most comfortable here, mainly because we were not hassled for tips. We read if we wanted to tip that it was encouraged to do so at the end of your stay. This was a refreshing approach.

We were sad to leave the Leela Palace, it was amazing! Personally I would encourage everybody visiting New Delhi to stay here.

We had the most wonderful stay at the Leela, New Delhi. We stayed for 02 nights.

Absolutely loved our time there! The staffs were lovely and the property spectacular. We have never experienced service like this before.

Well sanitized, clean and lovely ambience with rigid sanitization protocols were followed to ensure safety of guests!

All credit goes to the General Manager, Mr. Anupam Das Gupta, also a dear friend of mine, he went above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were met.

Mr. Bhaskar Hazarika, who looked after The Qube , made our dining experience the best because of the excellent cuisine and super service.

Le Cirque – The perfect dreamy fashionable and stylish restaurant was a great dining experience with Mr. Ashish who went out of their way to make our dining a comfortable one.

A shout out to Ms.Prabhneet Kaur, in the Front Office who made our check-ins and check-outs such a smooth and super efficient!

A special thank you to Mr. Jay, who heads the concierge team.

I congratulate Anupam and his entire team for their excellent service and wish them best of luck!

For a truly royal and enjoyable experience, I would recommend Leela, centrally located at the heart of the City with easy access to all the tourist sites and shopping.

I recently stayed at The Leela Palace for 9 days on my business trip to India. The welcome and the service i received really compels me to write this review. The management and the staff at the hotel really goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and memorable.
Anupam and Preeti really lead the management team with a hands on approach and set really high standards for staff to follow. The rooms are beautifully laid out, location is amazing and has easy reach to all the important places in and around Delhi.
I was kind of vary of staying in hotels in India especially during these trying COVID times but the detail to safety standards, sanitization and security of guests really put all my fears to ease upon check-in. The hotel staff went really out of their way to make me feel home. I can't handle spicy food well so the staff at the lounge ensured that I get non spicy options each day and checked on my liking for the same from time to time. I am a frequent traveler and stay at many hotels across the globe but such attention to detail and guest satisfaction is hard to find.
I would like to mention a few other staff members who really left a great impression on me Shamayla, Manoj, Supratik and Abi, they were simply exceptional.
Leela Palace Delhi is my go to place for any of my future travels.. Thank you Leela Team for such a wonderful experience..👍

Staff ensured we were comfortable during our stay. Highly meticulous and timely response by staff who’s always there to help. Room was up to date all facilities were class... the staff payed personal attention and even customised their fixed menu to please kids, elderly and youngsters! Can’t complain the staff did everything to ensure we had a safe and pleasantly stay at the palace. Special thanks to the Team Leader “Anu Tom” who managed all our special requests in quarantine. I would like to start by saying special thanks to Sherry Padda for making our stay memorable, I live in Delhi and I got married on Dec 06 , we wanted some privacy for our first post-wedding night so we checked into Leela, but I must say Sherry Padda took her job very sincerely and made it memorable for us.

The room was beautifully decorated with roses, chocolate mousse cake, our pre-wedding photographs, and a bottle of wine. The room and bathroom were very clean with a nice view of the City. We were upgraded to the Royal Club Room and I would like to thank Sherry and Hotel Management.

Dinner and Breakfast were included in our stay and we enjoyed dinner in the open ( ala-carte) and breakfast as well.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Leela Palace and would like to return soon.

Thanks a lot, Sherry Padda, Tanveer and the entire hotel management for making our stay memorable.

My partner and I stayed a total of 6 nights. I was there 4 nights and he stayed a further 2 on business.
When booking we were deciding between 3 hotels and I'm so glad we chose the Leela.
Even before we arrived my partner had a number of email conversations with the extremely helpful concierge team who booked us two 4 hour excursions with a hotel car and english speaking tour guide.
The day we landed we were met at the airport by the hotel driver who offered us bottles of water and the car had wifi which was a lovely touch. En route to the hotel he pointed out places of interest.
On arrival at the hotel we had a traditional indian greeting, including a garland. Sadly mine got tidied away by room cleaners as I was going to keep it but never mind.
We had a suite that included access to the Royal Club. The suite was beautiful, stocked with every amenity that you could ask for. If you needed anything we just phoned for a butler and it arrived within minutes.
A room with club access is so worth the extra cost. We ate lunch in there several times and the whiskey sours were just the best.
All the staff in the hotel are amazing, the butlers, security, restaurant staff, reception - everyone. Everywhere you got a smile and "namaste" and it felt genuine.
Breakfast had a great selection of food for travellers from all over the world. It got busy but you never felt rushed.
The highlight of the trip was a meal in the Indian restaurant. We had the tasting menu and it was incredible. The head waiter/maitre d (not certain) discovered we were English and in addition brought us some Chicken Tikka Masala as he wanted us to compare it to our home grown version. There was no comparison!
Leela Palace you absolutely exceeded my expectations, we will be back, and thank you for my birthday gift as I was leaving the hotel.
