Saket
An upmarket residential colony located in South Delhi, Saket is the mall central of Delhi. Home to the first multiplex in India, this chirpy neighbourhood part of most nostalgic stories of the locals, has today transformed into a hotbed for retail & entertainment therapy with a multitude of major malls on the Press Enclave Marg, where many journalists from media organisations around the country and the world live. From luxury and high-street shopping to exploring the best of cafes, bistros, restaurants, bars and multiplexes in town, Saket with its location in the middle of the hustle bustle of the city, offers luxury with convenience to all visitors.

Amid Covid 19 threat everywhere, I find Tree life a safe place to stay. Homely place with a park, lot of trees, fresh air and a safe place to do your morning or evening workouts. Plenty of shops and malls around to buy what you need. Truly enjoyed my stay!!

Great homestay, walking distance to Metro & local restaurants, secure location in quiet area. Ashwani and staff were very accomodating and helpful. Rooms clean and spacious. Tea, coffee and filtered water were always available. Breakfast was freshly made and we loved especially loved the dosas (rice pancakes) Wifi was good. We were caught up in the beginning of India's COVID 19 lock down, our flight had been delayed and Ashwani graciously let us stay for the whole day until we left for the airport that night. I hope that he, his family and staff are safe and are able to have guests again in the near future. We will definately stay here again.

The Tree of Life deserves every accolade it has received from Tripadvisor over the years. Located in a remarkably quiet and leafy neighbourhood, it is a welcome refuge from the busy-ness of Delhi. My daughter and I were fortunate to be able to stay for nine nights, having originally booked three. Ashwani was kind, thoughtful and immensely helpful, and gave us invaluable maps of the immediate area, the metro system and Chandni Chowk. Raju, Om and Ramraj looked after our every need -- even our laundry -- with genuine care and good humour. Our room was amazingly quiet, with a spacious en suite and hot water whenever we needed it. There was a comfortable sitting room on our floor, plentifully supplied with books and information, and another sitting room adjacent to the dining room looking out onto greenery. Complementary bottled water and loo paper were in endless supply. On two of our last evenings, we had dinner in. We had eaten at Karim's and Kwality, both excellent and highly recommended restaurants, but Ramraj excelled them. We wished we had eaten in earlier. Our stay at the Tree of Life was our last stop on our visit to India. We had taken some time to choose it, and were very glad we had. We hope we have an opportunity to stay again.

This was our first stop on a 3 week tour and it was fine, if at times rather noisy outside. The guest house is in a largely residential area in South Delhi. Our room itself was fairly basic as was the ensuite bathroom but the proprietor was friendly and helpful clearly taking some pride in providing recommendations of places to visit. On both mornings following discussions about our interests he wrote us a proposed itinerary which was really useful as we"d had few fixed ideas in advance about what we wanted to do. Unfortunately there was quite a lot of noise from the street with fireworks and music on the first night and then (bizarrely) on the second when it appeared a building site opposite received a delivery of concrete at around 1.30am! It was notable that we actually paid less than we had been quoted when booking. The reason? The rate of applicable tax had been reduced and this reduction passed on to us. "An honest man's the noblest work of God" Alexander Pope.
