The New Tibetan Colony remains my favourite place to stay in Delhi. Delhi can be hectic and the quietness of the Tibetan Colony brings calm to one's spirit. While I still love Wongdhen House for their honest service, the hotel needs an upgrade. In the past rooms were cleaned daily and the hotel smelled of chlorine. My room was not... More

Wongdhens was a great place to stay for the price it was good value for money. The food was excellent & the staff helpful & friendly. Try not to get a room facing the street or over the front door can be noisy! Especially with guests checking in over 24 hours! lovely rooftop area can see for miles!

The rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Noise from the street outside was very noticeable - we were on the first floor. The beds are hard, but fine. I've never found a soft mattress in India anyway. Pillows were a bit gross, you might try and take your own. The en-suite was large, and the shower... More

For the price, cleanliness and good vibes Wongdhen is the best hotel in Delhi as far as I'm concerned. The rooms are kept nice and clean, all amenities are provided, hot water always works and the attached restaurant has great momos. Nice terrace up top. I've stayed here twice now. The more expensive rooms have great views of the Yamuna... More

We stayed here twice in 2015; the first time was for just a couple of nights (post long-haul flight) and the second time for a week. Staying for longer meant we got a reduced room rate (INR 600). It's a place not overrun by other tourists where you can watch the ebb and flow of life. Situated in a tibetan... More

Overall happy with it. Paid Rp 800 for a twin room with ensuite on first floor. Cons: noisey. Only fly screens onto the tiny alleyway, ear plugs required. Pros: Tibetan Colony is fantastic. Wish we could have stayed in this are another couple of nights. Bathroom good, shower was great. Money changing service. Great when you're leaving the country the... More

The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable. I shared a bathroom, which again was kept clean and was perfectly sufficient for my needs. The food from the restaurant was delicious! Fully recommended! The staff were smiley, helpful and friendly. All this, for a budget price. It is located in the Tibetan colony of Delhi, which is an intriguing... More

while Wongden house provides all the needed amenities and decent food, it isnt so much a cheap place to stay but rather that it is a chance to experience a little Tibetan life in the middle of Delhi. people who say there is nothing to do must walk around with their eyes closed. there are thingsbTibetan at everybturn withnthe frangrance... Though there is nothing special to this hotel, the place is clean, quiet and affordable (non-AC rooms at least). A good place for budget travelers who don't feel like surviving the busy atmosphere of the city center.

We were travelling to Manali and needed a place to rest for a few hours as our bus was in the evening at 6. We narrowed down on Wongdhen and it was not a bad choice at all. Its located in the Tibetan Colony. Decent rooms, tasty food, friendly staff and rock bottom price. The lovely lady at the reception... More
