My husband and I spent 2 days fishing over Christmas . The room was comfortable and very clean. We were there over Christmas and were invited to eat a very nice meal with the owners son and about 15 other people. I highly recommend

I must admit, I was hesitant about booking this hotel. My kids call me the hotel snob. I will be the first to admit my fears were completely unfounded. This is a quaint little hotel owned by the sweetest people. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. There are little touches that feel like home. The beds had quilts instead of institution white comforters. The towels matched the color scheme in the room. We were in town for an rc event and considered staying 45 minutes away. I am glad we chose not to. One other tip is take the time to read the notebook in the room. It is full of sage advice and a few giggles.

At first I really liked this place, they were very nice and the rooms clean. What upset us is we tried to pay for an extra night, was told to wait until the following day, we would be fine. My husband goes in the next day as instructed only to be told the room wasn’t available anymore, she forgot about someone coming in for the fishing tournament, she doesn’t have any rooms available but we could PAY EXTRA to stay in a camper. At this point, we have been at this place for almost 3 weeks and paid at least $700. She asked us not to be upset with her, but it’s kind of hard not to be when we were overlooked for a weekend tournament, and were told to pay extra to stay as a result of HER mistake. That WAS NOT RIGHT. It was a shame because we wound up having to stay another week in town but did not stay here, we went someplace else. Things could have been handled better.

We had the best time staying at Bay Springs! Mrs. Terry was super nice and she helped us every way she could. Our TV broke and she had a brand new one hooked up within an hour. Our daughter loved the "burglar alarms"! :-) We loved getting to walk around the Marina and looking. We will definitely stay here on our return trip. Thank you so much Mrs. Terry for all of your help!

I can’t give this place a poor review. However, know the hotel does not have a view of the lake, from any room. And it is a very short walk to the water/boat docks. Fishing off the boat dock is not convenient. Also, the beds are double beds and the pool is the size of a small above ground pool though it is an in ground pool up to 5’ deep. The rooms are clean and simple. The pics of the rooms are correct.
