This resort was beautiful. Coffee in a swinging chair looking out at Paradise is a great way to start the morning. The food and hospitality were amazing. It was the most relaxing vacation I have ever had.

Very clean with excellent food (the chocolate mousse recipe is now in our home file) and personalized, efficient service. It is a 30 minute boat ride from the nearest town, Bocas del Toro, which makes it a quiet, more remote place. There are some good tours by boat and snorkeling opportunities. It is one of the best places we have...

I just returned from leading a yoga retreat at Casa Cayuco and everything literally exceeded ALL of my expectations! Everyone in our group had an incredible time and the most perfect week thanks to Dave, Suzanne, and the entire Casa Cayuco staff. Location: Casa Cayuco is located on a remote beach on Isla Bastimentos. Once you fly in to Bocas...

We spent 6 remarkable nights last month, family of 5 with kids ages 12-16. We travel a lot and our expectations were high given the reviews, but it’s impossible to anticipate how special this place is. The natural setting is absolutely gorgeous—hard to believe you could have so much tropical beauty and still be so comfortable in an open-air place...

The five days I spent at Casa Cayuco was everything the other reviewers talked about. We all became one big happy family, even me who was a single. Each time the owner/operators, Susanna and David, saw you they would greet you by your first name. Each meal around the big table brought us closer as one big happy family. The...

We were just down in Isla Bastimentos for my daughters wedding and some of our party stayed there and others stayed at nearby houses and Azul Paradise down the beach. The difference between the Casa Cayuco experience and Azul were like night and day. Dave the owner and his wife are so attentive and knowledgeable and their place is absolutely...

Dave and Suzanne, committed eco-proprietors, run the best little hotel. It may not be for everyone as the rooms are open air, but don't worry, beds are netted keeping them out! If you're looking for a true eco-resort, this is it! The hotel is small (about 7-8 beautiful rooms), and you shower looking into the jungle. Guests eat at a...

Stayed at Azul Paradise and was so disappointed by the service and lack of attention to detail. Next time it's Casa Cayuco for sure!! We had the opportunity to go down there for dinner one evening and Dave was super attentive and made sure we were all happy. In addition he went out of his way to ensure our experience...

Dave, Suzanne and Mina are wonderfully warm and friendly hosts and made our 4-night stay at Cash Cayuco magical. The resort itself is intimate and well laid out - the cabanas are very comfortable, spacious and the bathroom and shower are awesome and come stocked with soap, shampoo and conditioner. The beds have mosquito nets and Dave and Suzanne have...
