Henry, Maggie and Lucho - Thanks for everything. We had a wonderful stay (-the best in Panama by far). The food was perfect and so fresh ! The daily cocktails too and the tours from La Loma were so much more than we expected. La Loma has the best guides to tell you all about the Panama Jungle, the Mangroves and the Caribbean waters. Sleeping in the middle of the jungle was such a cool experience, the monkeys even came to say hello a few times ! We would recommend this place to everyone. Hope you are doing well Jelrick
I arrived at La Loma and was immediately greeted with smiles and kindness from the entire staff. It is the most beautiful lodge I have ever visited (truly). The short hike to the ranchos is worth it! The views are spectacular - you will most likely see monkeys and sloths, too. You are off the grid but not necessarily roughing it. The food is the best I had in Panama - by far! Ariel is the most generous host who does it all. The women in the kitchen are so generous. Mr. Chappie and Mr. Kelly know the farm / property inside & out and love to tell you about it. The service was above and beyond. I was a solo traveler but families, as well. I cannot wait to return one day with my entire family. La Loma is a special place!
Fantastic tour with Steve, he was informative and entertaining and provided a great tour of the cacao farms. He showed us not only the process from beginning to end but also some other local facts and figures as we took our walk along the property. And Karen was a lovely hostess who was welcoming and made it very easy to book and ask question prior to our visit. It was a tasty lunch and a really nice way to spend the day. I know Karen and Steve are only taking care of the farm while the owners are away but they treated every detail with care you would never know it wasn't their lodge.
La Loma Lodge was beyond words incredible. The food, the people and the property made our trip absolutely phenomenal. The hosts, Karen and Steve warmly welcomed us with fresh, organic homemade iced tea using ingredients from the rainforest. That was the start of our La Loma experience, and is illustrative or the entire trip. Every meal was a gourmet award-winning experience from the pico de gayo grouper over coconut rice to the olive and chicken tamales. The food, plus the wonderfully rich conversations with fellow guests, Karen-Steve and really cool La Loma people, Ariel and Sabrina. The “room” was like none other. Open air breezes and the beautiful cacophony of rainforest surrounded us day and night. We loved all of our day time activities and are so appreciative that La…
Henry, Maggie, Lucho and their La Loma family went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They packed us lunch for our daytime excursions and set us out with guides who were knowledgable and fun. The food was unbelievably delicious and the bungalow was comfortable with an amazing view. We traveled with our family of two teenagers and a five year old and La Loma was a perfect choice. We are lucky to have been able to experience such amazing people in a beautiful part of the world.
