Our family had an excellent chocolate tour(featuring many other culinary highlights) from Mr. Kelly and wish we could have spent a few days (we tried but it was fully booked). Such lovely owners Ariel and Sabrina who looked like they took care of this beautiful place with such care. Feels remote with access with so many things to do nearby. Next time we hope to stay!

My husband and I just returned from a truly unique experience at La Loma. We spent 4 nights in late November and did not know what to expect with respect to food, weather, fellow guests, etc but everything surpassed our expectations. I am very squeamish about bugs and so the open air cabin was very outside of my comfort zone but all of that fear went away with hosts Ariel and Zabrina’s encouraging words and advice (and wine didn’t hurt). They were always checking to make sure we were comfortable and well-rested and had everything we needed. Make sure you ask them about La Loma’s partnership with the local community and how they give back to the residents of Boca and to their staff. The open air cabin was actually very comfortable with a super effective mosquito net covering the

Came for the day with a group to do a tour of the property and the chocolate farm. Make sure you bring enough water for the hike up the hill, but it is so worth it! Try to bring a guide with you, as they can help point out the sloths throughout the trees, we got to see 4 during the day. We had lunch that was fresh, healthy, and absolutely delicious. Make sure you try their trash tea that is made from the leftover shells of cacao when it's harvested to make chocolate. It was so good I bought a bag to bring home!

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience at La Loma Jungle Lodge! We were there for the tour and lunch. It was beautiful from the moment we arrived by boat and walked down the path to the lodge. Ariel was there to greet us, to give us information about the property and the mission behind the projects. As he promised, our tour with Mr. Kelly was phenomenal--he shared so much knowledge with us about the plants and animals. He then demonstrated more about the cultivation and process of the cacao to chocolate. We returned to the lodge for our delicious, organic, gourmet lunch. It was as delicious as it was beautiful. During our lunch , Ariel called us over to see a sloth in a low branch of the tree. That was a welcome interruption because we got to see that sloth up close and

The place was awesome, the owners were amazing, the tours were top notch, and the food is beyond healthy and so delicious. I can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was so "Absolutely Perfect" sums it up. We have traveled to over 40 countries and rarely go back and stay at the same place twice, but we really want to go back to the lodge! It was sooooo relaxing and beautiful.
