I would describe staying at Palmar as luxurious camping. It's a very unique experience staying here, from the boat dock you walk a trail for about 10 minutes and are instantly connected with nature. You experience living off of rainwater to shower, and solar power to charge your electronics, while still having a really comfy place to sleep and excellent... More

Our family including two adults and an 8 and 10 year old has fun staying in the Jungalow. Although it rained for the majority of our two night stay, because it is still warm, we were able to have a great time in the ocean's big waves. Accommodations: Jungalow is great - big comfortable king bed on top floor and... More

The location and set up was really nice, with hammocks and beach chairs, but as a whole we were dissapointed. We were excited to be staying in a tent (as it is a tent lodge..), but when we arrived we found that the dorm beds were in a hut, not a tent. We'd seen photos on the website with bunkbeds... More

We spent 5 nights here as a family with 2 kids aged 7 & 9 and all enjoyed it very much. The staff are generally young, dynamic, efficient and friendly. The food is excellent and veggie friendly - as it is in much of Panama and Costa Rica. The beach lived up to expectations, even if you have to be... More

Location is ideal. The entire site is very clean and well taken care of. You must be ready for the eco-friendly rules and ways of functioning (ex. showers are rain water). Very warm welcome at reception. Slight hiccup when it comes to the restaurant. The food is good .. When it comes. Staff sometimes confuse orders. It's also slightly overpriced.... More

This week I went with my girlfriend to Bocas del Toro and we booked two nights to Palmar Tent Lodge. I had injured my back so we had to come back to Panama City and had to cancel both nights. I called them and leave them a message detailing our cancellation, I even accepted a charge for the first night... More

Hi Marcal, I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with your booking. I am a little confused because when you emailed us to cancel only one night, you understood the cancellation policy. While canceling your first night, you made no mention that you would also be cancelling your second night with us. When you did not... More

Stayed in a private tent with a very comfortable bed and fresh towels - had only one night to spare, but I wish I could've stayed longer. Beautiful beach at your doorstep, two or three days would've been nice to have! Shower is clean and spacious, not much power in the water though. Be aware of security in that you... More

Palmer Tent Lodge is definitely something else! Set in a lush jungle right by the beach, this ecolodge is the perfect place for a relaxing stay while in Bocas del Toro. I stayed in the dorm which was spacious and clean with large lockers. The food was AMAZING here. They catered well for the health concious and vegetarians. Staff were... More

I love this place! The setting is stunning. Highlights: tents perfectly nestled under the jungle canopy, practicing on the slackline, spotting tiny red frogs every morning, fresh fish of the day expertly prepared by the chef, yoga in the most beautiful chalet, the sound of the ocean waves. Ahhh I will definitely be back soon.

I went there a few months ago and still cannot believe all the amazing things I got to experience. It’s a very secluded place and absolutely gorgeous. You are completely disconnected from the world, best feeling ever, so leave your phone in your bag just take a camera. Walking along the coastline was unreal. There is absolutely nobody out there....
