My husband and I enjoyed staying at this cute little hotel on the water for 3 nights while in Bocus. Good A/C. Comfortable bed. Nice hot shower. We stayed in a room with the deck overlooking the water which was very nice. The hotel is in a great location for restaurants. The whole town is very walkable and you can catch a water taxi by just going out on the dock. Staff speaks English and we’re very nice!
My stay was great! I loved the original wood architecture in Caribbean style. I’m a history buff so I was especially happy that the walls were filled with incredible photos of Bocas from the turn of the century. My room was big and the A/C was so good after a long day in the sun.
Hotel Bocas del Toro is a full-service hotel with a restaurant over the water and a bar on the street. You can have the boat drivers pick you up and drop off right from the dock for all your water tours, and the taxis can pick you up right out front on the street and take you to the airport five minutes away. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The island views are spectacular. Carla is running a tight ship! I can’t wait to come back to Bocas, and I will definitely stay at Hotel Bocas de Toro again!
Surprisingly quiet from OUTSIDE noise (room 104?) . Nice bed. Nicest shower all YEAR! When they realized breakfast was seriously messing w/ our first dive, packed ours 'to go' and lent us forks as they had no plastic ones. Gracious about our storing bags and moving on next night. First place we stopped after horrendously long travel day. Had Booking.com offer on phone and approached front desk gal directly. She wasn't even going to match Booking.com's rate!?! In my attempt to pull it up so she could 'ask her manager' (giving it to us for B.com's 'genious' rate of $75) i QUITE accidently booked room THROUGH Booking.com, undoing hotel's chance to make more $😟. She then would not take credit card, necessitating husband using ATM to get more cash. Would stay here again, but know that every OTHER hotel these past 10 days has embraced idea of not having to pay Booking.com finders fee. It would have showna lot more gracious 'first impression' for front desk gal to match price automatically! Safe didnt have battery/ didn't work. Breakfast at 8 a.m. but be WELL ADVISED to get there early and hold a table, as orders are on first come first served and we were behind 16 persons who'd arrived to dining area BEFORE 8!?! Best stay would have to had QUIETER UPSTAIRS NEIGHBORS!!!😟…
Finally able to visit Isla Calon and stay at Hotel Bocas del Toro again. This hotel is as excellent and comfortable as it was the last time I stayed here before Covid-19 shut down travel. A big “Thank you” to the staff for a beautiful week. And thank you for the perfect weather!
What a great location and a beautiful hotel. It is centered right in the middle of all the action in Bocas. I walked everywhere around the area and there was no need to take a taxi or rent a bicycle. The terrace I had was overlooking the street. Of course this is a party town so I imagine it could get quite noisy at night, however, I never had any issue. Keep in mind we’re still in Covid restrictions so I’m sure the nightlife was pretty tame. Of course the highlight of this venue is the amazing staff. Everybody was very accommodating, friendly, and radiated Caribbean hospitality.
The location is excellent right in the main street , we arrived before check in time and they even have one of the rooms ready, they can also store your baggage until check in time, the rooms are very confortable with a balcony to the main street, the breakfast was included and it was very good, they can also provide beach towels to take for the tours, Yasira was amazing always with a smile answering any question that we had, happy hour is from 5-7 great coctails and food. I recommend this hotel 100% for your Isla colon stay.
The best thing about staying in this hotel is the warm, welcoming staff. Every day of my stay, my friends and I were greeted with a smile. The hotel is very pretty and close to many cafés and restaurants. Due to covid, you need to request cleaning but when we did they left the room impeccably clean just like the day we arrived. The hotel is also close to multiple boat taxis. I will definitely return!
My stay with a friend at Hotel Bocas del Toro last month for my birthday was a lovely treat. I live outer island in the BdT archipelago and usually travel plenty, but, with all the Covid-19 related travel restrictions, I have been taking myself on various mini 'staycations' in the island area. Hotel Bocas del Toro has a charming, old world, nautical vibe. Our room was comfortable and cozy with a gorgeous water view. The in-room organic coffee provided was certainly the right way to start the morning. The owner, Carla, and her staff were super accommodating with check in and out. Their safety protocols for Covid-19 will put any traveller at ease. I look forward to treating myself to another night at the hotel soon!
The hotel surprises: its dark polished woods reminiscent of the elegance of bygone eras. We loved the place. Cute. Romantic. Small. Our balcony faced the water and the air-conditioning was vercifully efficient. Centrally located, it's steps away from water taxis, shops, and restaurants. The staff is super helpful. We'll definitely return.
