Large airy room with a balcony in a colonial style building, centrally located. We had a room with a private bath – plenty of hot water, free Wi-Fi, flat screen smart TV (remember your passwords!) The owners were very helpful and could usually be found in the common area. We ate breakfast there on our last morning and it was...

We booked and paid for a room at Casa Max the day before we were to depart from Panama. When we arrived the manager told us that there was no room for us. We were told her only responsibility to us was to find us an equivalent hotel room. We were sent to a nearby hotel called Casa Amarillo or...

Shirley is a gem, and instantly made us feel at home! Superb hospitality, excellent Indonesian food, and great happy hour! Off the main street, so quieter. Private balconies, comfy beds, spotlessly clean! $45. Why go anywhere else?

We enjoyed our time at casa max, we extended our stay. Very comfortable bed, clean spacious room with fan and aircon. Private little balcony as well. Comfy area downstairs to sit and relax. Just around the corner from town but far enough to enjoy some quiet time. Overall great place.

What a lucky find I got a private room with a fan and a private bathroom with hot water it's very quiet respectful and super clean. It is not on the main strip so there it's not so much partying around us here going on . I enjoyed playing a game of giant chess being comforted by the house cat.

After walking around Bocas trying to find a private double room for $50 or less we came across Casa Max which was $40 for a lovely big clean room with bathroom, balcony, wifi, tv. Considering others in the same area were $55-77 this was an absolute bargain for what you got. (It was low season) The staff didn't speak English...
