We were really looking forward to our stay in Tangalle. We read many good reviews and were ready to relax a bit.
When we arrived however this feeling went away. At first we were told by the staff that the pool was closed due to...More
Lovely experience, and we were very close with nature. We saw peacocks as well. the service was alright and the food was not bad. The place is close to the town and turtle watching. overall it was an amazing stay.
Me and my partner were quite divided on this place. The location is lovely, we saw so much wildlife & the beach and pool were both so close. Personally I loved the cabana, it was rustic & eco friendly, it reminded me a bit of...More

It's off the main road a little ways, so you can get a rum-tuk or taxi anywhere. They are usually parked right by the gate. The restaurant at the hotel is OK but I wouldn't say top quality. The pool restaurant was ok for lunch but not a big selection. We also ate at the beachside restaurant, which doesn't belong to the hotel. Was closed in the evening, though. The location of the cabanas in the coconut grove was what drew us to the hotel. It was indeed lovely. Rustic little places but very cute. The German owners are in need of some hospitality training, we thought, but local staff were very friendly.
