Closely situated a short walk from Siguriya Rock, which was the purpose of my visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome by the friendly ever smiling lady (sashi I believe her name is) who showed me to a huge room, big enough for 3 people with nice size shower room and large veranda. Nice and clean and enjoyed a delicious chicken curry in the evening too. Good advice to get up early and avoid the crowds at the Rock. Beware of the elephants in the evening. Apparent not so friendly!

In January i've been here for the first time! A wonderful family who runs the guesthouse with a lot of love. It is located in a beautiful green area where you can enjoy the sounds of nature. The rooms are spacious and clean and the food is great! You feel really at home. Go and look for Yourself

I was there last week for visiting sigiriya. The familiy is lovely, they facilitate you everything: bicycles are free when you normally have to rent one, wifi works well, rooms are good, clean, with hot water, delicous meals are aviable for a reasonable price, The location is excellent, from there you can visit Sigiryia, ride an elephant or just enjoy taking a walk around as ther is a beautiful lake 5 minuts walking from there.

Very nice guesthouse a few minutes walk from main road, helps keep this place quiet at night. Huge rooms and bathrooms with front porch, perfect for tea time. Very friendly and helpful owners. Wouldn't look elsewhere for accomodation. Excellent value

I stayed here for 3 days- the garden is lovely and restful. It is walking distance to the Rocks- the hosts were very friendly and helped with organising onward travel and tuk tuks. Went for a nice walk with the owners son to a nearby lake - was nice seeing the rice being harvested and the lake. The dinner was different every night and very yummy. Clean, good rooms in a garden setting.

I had a one night stay there. It's located very close to Sigiriya, in a small street with similar guest houses. My room was very simple, enough clean, with a good price/quality ratio. Wifi works just near the main building. Family who owns the place is very kind.

We lived in a family room with three people. It was spacious enough and clean. The owners are really nice and the daughter speaks very good English. They help you with organising stuff like a safari or a private driver somewhere else. The food is okay, nothing spectacular but good value.

This guesthouse is about 1km from Lion's Rock and the owner has a tuk tuk which came in very handy when we needed to go to the ATM which is in the next village. The staff are accommodating, but I agree with other reviewers that they can be pushy with trying to sell you their tours. However, this place has a lovely communal vibe and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms are comfortable and very clean but be aware that whilst rooms are ~$38, they are ~$50 with air-con which I think was a necessity. I would stay here again!

We called for breakfast as we were passing (which turned out to be great and reasonably priced) but while eating we were talking into a elephant safari at 3000 rupee each this also seemed quite reasonable as we were promised 2pm-6pm in the jeep with a guide to show us the local wildlife and if we were lucky elephants. In reality we were picked up at 2:20pm taken on a tour of the nature reserve with a jeep and a guide who when asked by one of the other customers what we could expect to see replied with " errr elephants" and no further explanation. due to the season and the elephants moving around from park to park we were only lucky enough to see one which is completely not the fault of the company or the guide for that matter but he then proceeded to drive at what i would deem as an unreasonable speed through the park and hastily making it to the road section. By this time it was about 330pm and we expected maybe he was taking us elsewhere but instead he headed straight back to the hotel stopping at a shop for about 20minutes and when we did see four elephants in the distance he refused to turn around due to it being to far back. On our arrival back at the hotel at 4:55pm I politely asked for a 500 rupee refund per person for all the guests on the tour and after 30minutes of discussions they finally agreed what i believe was a fair request due to the time not spent looking and the refusal to turn around. Once we had finished and we were about to leave the other couple on the trip revealed they had paid over 9000 rupees for exactly the same tour as us so proceed with care! I have no experience of the hotel itself and the food was good but please be very careful when it comes to the tours they offer and run
