We really enjoyed our stay at Kassapa Lions Rock. Excellent service at the restaurant, who were friendly at every meal. Furthermore, they were able to arrange a special lunch for us during the stay. The pool areas were good, rooms were large and private. We fully recommend this lovely place.
The hotel obliged with a twin interconnectable 2 room chalet perfect with our 2 daughters. The food was very good (ala carte). Staff was very courteous and professional. Great secluded pool . Ideal to stayover and climb the Sigirya rock especially if en route from Colombo to Trincomalee. Hotel obliged with 13 amp power out put for Electric Vehicle charging overnight.
Very nice hotel. We really enjoyed being in the jungle, so close to the nature. Warm welcoming with great mocktails, flowers on the bed and fruits. All the people were very nice. Nice bedroom with open air shower. Large choice of food, local and international. We had our first lion beer too! Amazing view on the lion rock from the swimming pool.
Nice hotel with a garden full of trees. Staff were very friendly. Buffet style food for Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast. The food was very good and tasty. Room was specious and clean with good a/c. The bathroom shower was open to the sky which was nice. Would recommend.

My family and I was in Kassapa Lions rock in HB basis..my room was cottage look with huge space. Food was delicious and of course staff was very friendly and they were very helpful.. The surrounding view gives you both pidurangala and Sigiriya. There were 2 pools and they were clean and running. Thank you Kassapa for your loving hospitality ..hope we meet again.. We 💖 Kassapa..
We had a lovely three night stay in one of the bungalows. To reach it you have to walk a nice little path through the garden/greens. At night fireflies will at times zip by (especially at the pool). In the morning you can see a type of mini heron walking all over. The room was very spacious and well kept. We were particularly impressed by the walk-in shower. Staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. On our last night the staff had decorated our bed with hibiscus flowers which was beautiful and set a nice mood. Food was very good; in particular the Christmas Eve buffet had some very nice choices. Our recurring waiter was very attentive and friendly. Would recommend staying here!
I spent 7 days doing hotel quarantine at Kassapa Lions Rock. Coming from Melbourne, Australia, I found my room & bathroom very clean and comfortable. I absolutely loved sitting on my porch enjoying the company and beautiful songs of the cute little squirrels and tropical birds. To my delight, I was lucky enough to be graced by visits from the local peacocks a few times! I had 2 tiny frogs make their way into my bathroom, but I was not fussed at all as I was able to take them outside in a food container with ease. Showering in the middle of the day is fine as the water has naturally warmed up, but for those who prefer an evening/night-time bath, heating water using the provided kettle and pouring water from the big basin (also provided) is the way to go. The food was out of this world and in large quantities (including mainly traditional Sri Lankan cuisine)! The service was wonderful with friendly staff who were all very Covid-savvy. I would happily stay at this hotel again, but hopefully under better circumstances!…
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The rooms are very clean and homely. There is a limited spread of food, but it tasted good. The staff is very friendly and supportive. About 10km (15min) drive to Sigiriya rock. Two pools at the property is quite convenient. Water presure could improve. But net great value for money.
As per their moto without doubt one of the favorite hotels, I stayed after post-COVID time. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and the front office manager Mr. Samantha deserves a special thanks. We had a great day here, which also added up to the experience. Special note to the pool man, who works as the caretaker of the two fantastic swimming pools in the hotel as well. he is such a warm personality and a highly motivated guide (recommendable!). I truly enjoyed our stay there and the scenery was beautiful and it was a relief to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The atmosphere is so special that it felt like home to me. All respect for the management and the staff who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!…
