Went there to stay one night but I had c/out on the same day because of their rude policies. They don't know hospitality at all, even they don't know how to talk to people. When there is an issue, all of their family members came and shouted at their guests.I felt like I went to a fish market.I understand that there are policies in each hotel, but they should learn how to talk, how to behave and how to solve problems rather than shouting at their guests.I don't really care what their jobs and where they work out of the hotel, I went there just to relax.Somebody came to me and started to talking about his job and tried to stop me showing his power with public contacts,I think its a bad quality of big-headed people. And there was one old lady who shouted without knowing anything. At that point I understood that I have made the worst decision to stay in this cheap place NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE

Response from sampath liyanage, General Manager at Seyara Holiday Resort
Responded Sep 17, 2020
hello First of all we have to ask from you one question?why you don’t explain what was happen that time and why we didn’t want you to stay our place???? As you mentioned in your comment we have our own policies and we do our hotel in very genuine way. You booked a double room for you and your girl .but few hours later you came down to leave and another person came to stay with same lady. But at that time we disagree it and told you this is not a place to bring prostitute. Even though we don’t have much business in this corona season, we don’t do cheap business and we don’t make reservations for half day or short Time.

Nice small hotel with great and clean swimming pool, nice garden for evening sitting and very king people and excellent food. We stayed there for 4 days and we were very satisfied. Furniture in room was nice, bed was comfortable, water in shower was hot, A/C worked well. People there are smily and willing, nothing was problem. The food there was one of the best we had in Sri Lanka.

We were a family of 4 (two adults and two children) and stayed here for 1 night in January 2020. The location was good (we hired a car for our trip so we found it easy to get to) and the hotel even had a swimming pool. The staff were lovely and very welcoming. We had dinner and breakfast there which was tasty and large portions. There were some insects and although the rooms didn't have A.C., they had mosquito nets and fans which did the job. Overall, the hotel was extremely good value for money as we got a great deal. We would 100% recommend it.

After driving down a few small, dusty roads I suddenly arrived at a small oasis with a beautiful pool, nice sitting area, and a wonderful family atmosphere. The manager insisted on showing me the room before I checked in. For $30 a night it was far more than I thought. A large room with while tile floors and clean as a luxury hospital. Nice sitting balcony, air condition, ceiling fan, electric plug adapter, and extension cord. Furnishings were spotlessly new -- all is black and white with small touches of color. I took the room, of course, but what really surprised me was the evening buffet. The food and the service was all incredible. The cook is the hidden jewel of Seyara -- he served up the most delicious array of flavors I have had in Sri Lanka, but unfortunately I do not know enough about food to give the names or descriptions. I only know that the food was delicious, and the service outstanding. For a night or a month, Seyara is a wonderful place to stay and a great base to explore the incredible history of Polonnuwa.

We staied one night in this hotel. Since the welcoming everything was perfect; they gave us a fresh fruit juice. All the staff was so gently and helpful. They also had a room for our driver. Our room was nice and clean. The price was excellent attending that we had included breakfast and dinner and also a big swimming-pool. The dinner had european options that were good. I would reccomend it 100%.
