The deluxe room is a good size but the bathroom is tiny and very basic . The aircon doesnt work very efficiently .Staff at the reception very slow and disorganised. The buffet breakfast is mediocre as is the buffet dinner. Lots of Chinese tour groups.Wifi is poor and only works in the tiny lobby area. The view is nice over the...

The hotel has an amazing view and sometimes you can see the elephants in the distance. The music (piano) is nice during the first hour of your stay but after 2 days your getting cranky... you don't only hear it in the lobby; it's everywhere! In the restaurant, the poolside, you van even hear is in your room. Repeat mode......

The location of this hotel is something special, right on the edge of Parakrama Samudra. We had a couple of hours to kill before visiting Polonnaruwa and sat by the pool watching elephants on the far side of the lake, which was so special. The room is a little run down – but large and clean with a great will...

We stayed in the upper rooms with our mother, who was wheelchair bound, but the hotel had no lift. But this was not a problem because the staff were very kind and brought down and took up my mother in her wheel chair at all meal times. The rooms were ok and food was tasty. Hotel is old (I think...

The moment we stepped into the hotel we were greeted by the staff at the reception very warmly. Since we needed a slight change in our room allocation they promptly did what was needed without any hesitation and with cheerful faces. A special mention should be made about Nadeeka whose service was excellent. The rooms opened out on to a...

This joint is awesome. All the rooms overlook the lake, which the elephants were chilling by at around 4pm. Then there's the sunset by the lake. The staff were all lovely. They had the Australia v Pakistan test on tv and loaded me up with Lion beer. The bed was comfy and the room spacious. It's also walkable to some...

Look, this place is fine. The rooms are clean, the bed comfortable and there was enough hot water. It isn't, however, a grand place - although the building itself is reminiscent of bygone days of grandeur. It's moderately convenient to get to the ruins, we picked up a tuk tuk when we got off the Anuradhapura bus and just had...

I liked the hotel in general, the food and the rooms, kindness of stuff, especially in the restaurant, but there were stolen 700 USD from my wallet in very professional way from closed room (I did not use the safety box).
