The hotel dates back to British days, and is old. Our room was the size of half a tennis court. The bathroom was just adequate, with a shower over the bath, again huge! The highly polished wood floors are interesting, but a nice change. Everything worked including the air conditioner. The bar is a lovely open air affair near the...

We enjoyed our stay at the Queens. This hotel is in a perfect location in the center of Kandy on a corner with the lake over one street and The Temple of The Tooth over the other. Out the main doors turn left you have the Central Market within walking distance. Odel shop is a few doors down on the...

Obviously the hotel is old. Everything else is also old except the staff. Even inside the room almost everything except the air conditioner is old. But the beauty is everything is functional and we had a very comfortable stay. The staff members are young vibrant and helpful. Specially the waiter, Chadana was a very helpful young man. He goes out...

This old colonial hotel is extremely well located in the center of Kandy. I loved its colonial style with the pretty old lift and its wood furnitures. It's a little bit like being back to the colonial age. The room was clean and nice. The staff was very friendly and efficient.

Needs a few tweaks dialed in, but generally impressive. Great Breakfast and Lobby. Fresh Fruits and omelette bar. Service solid. Hard wood flooring and small museum of artifacts in Lobby bar interesting. Would recommend. Amazing history unfolded in this building. A real slice of colonial Sri Lanka.

The location is perfect if you need East access to all the tourist destinations on kandy. That's the only good thing about the hotel other than its friendly staff. The rooms are of poor quality. Really worn out and it looks so almost in every place in the hotel including its restaurants. Not worth the money unless you have a...

I really like the public areas, pool, bar, etc. It was all really nice and I like the style. The location is really great with easy access to Kandy. My main concern are the actual rooms. They were very noisy, and we even had a room towards the pool and not the street and lake view. I would no t...

This was the fourth time I stayed at the Queen's Hotel in Kandy. On our first night we were in a room on the 3rd floor in the West Wing. It was at an extreme corner and getting there was an exercise! They changed our room the next day and this was much better. I think the hotel is still...

I don't like the old colonial look and clearly did not enjoy the outlook of this place. This would be an oasis to someone looking for the old look tho. The sheer locating itself gets this place a decent rating given its proximity to the sacred Temple of the Tooth and the new Kandy mall/ shops. Breakfast n Dinner spreads...
