We stayed at their huge tent for 2 nights. We throughly enjoyed the experience. Even though it’s a tent, they have all the facilities including TV,Wifi, Hot water etc. staff is very friendly too. Since all the 5 of us got hungry unexpectedly they had to make a quick meal for us which was considerably good. However, I must say that taste wise food can improve a lot. Otherwise we had a memorable and a wonderful stay.

A fantastic stay with Ryan and his team who looked after us and our 7 month old baby so well for 4 nights. Excellent service from Nihal and Minesh bringing us Indika's scrumptious curries. Rooms and gardens immaculate, pool lovely and cool, and views over Kandy spectacular. Oh, and if you are lucky enough as I was, there is opportunity to catch some quality rugby with real atmosphere in the local club just down the road......

Our favourite hotel during our 13 day trip to Sri Lanka. Not only was the hotel gorgeous, it had a delightful pool and the meals....both breakfast and dinner were the best. We had the Sri Lankan curry for dinner and it was better than any restaurant meal we had. The Sri Lankan breakfast was also a hit. This hotel had the best service we have encountered. Even the chef came out to see how our meal was going. If only all hotels were this good!

If you are looking for somewhere that has a colonial feel, great service and exceptional food than you have found the right place...the chef even comes out to make sure your meal is good. The Pepper and Lemongrass rooms have balconies with views over Kandy. The Sri Lankan curry is highly recommended.

We stayed at Elephant Stables for 3 nights during our tour of Sri Lanka. It’s a small, friendly boutique hotel away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy with just 6-7 rooms and that means the staff are attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Food is cooked to order and the chef is more than happy to discuss menu choices - chef’s curry taster meal was fantastic. One thing is for sure: if you eat here you will not go hungry! I need to burn off the curry and egg hoppers when I get home! We stayed in the lemongrass room which overlooks the pool and garden. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom very clean. I’d very much recommend this place if you’re looking for something just outside the town centre.
