Excellent in every way. Wonderful house and friendly staff. The owner, Miss Barbara, is a excellent cook. Great breakfast, the best buffalo curd of Sri Lanka :) WeI really recommend Baramba House to stay in Kandy. Luís Mata Portugal

We had two wonderful nights here, a calm haven to relax in. Barbara and her husband could not have been more helpful. The place is spotless with great attention to detail, really perfect. The breakfast was a feast and all home cooked, even the warm bread. We also had supper one night and it was delicious, probably our best meal... More

We spent 2 weeks travelling through Sri Lanka on our honeymoon, including 3 nights at Baramba house - which were incredible. Barbara already has so many great reviews but its impossible not to add to them after our stay. Her place is an easy tuk-tuk ride from the town centre but feels a world away. The rooms (3 in total)... More

My husband organised this exceptional accommodation in Kandy during the Perahera Festival. We arrived very late from the Colombo airport on a Friday evening and made arrangements with Barbara for a driver to take us to Baramba House . We were warmly greeted by Barbara and Loku, and enjoyed the general ambiance immediately, with soft lighting, frogs croaking and beautiful... More

Baramba House is all that previous reviewers have said. Beautiful home and furnishings, great breakfast. Barbara is a gracious host and excellent cook. We arranged for dinner one evening - several courses with a main using fresh shrimp from the local market. It was delicious. $20 pp may seem expensive for Sri Lanka, but it was worth every penny. Thank you Barbara and the staff at Baramba house for making our Sri Lanka trip memorable, we will never forget your beautiful home, hospitality and service. Baramba house is situated on top of a hill where the view is amazing. There are only 2 rooms so it was quiet, tranquil and the staff were attentive. The swimming pool is great... More

an amazing experience - the building and grounds are beautiful, peaceful and the perfect place to relax after experiencing the bustle of Kandy. Rooms are clean, spacious and beautifully furnished, with a patio area to unwind and a pool. One of the most enjoyable things was just relaxing in the evenings, watching the birds in the trees - Baramba has... More

There isn't much more to say about Baramba that hasn't been said below. The most beautiful grounds, pool and room we had throughout sri lanka. Magnificent view. Short tuk tuk about 200-300LKR into town, but a bit more on return as it can be tricky to explain to the drivers, but easy enough to navigate to by memory or on... More
