Very peaceful place even though it is located on a busy street. Mrs Madugalle is a genuine and fantastic host. We recommend to eat there for dinner as you will taste really good homemade sri lankan food. Rooms are simple and could perhaps do with a bit if renovation especially the bathroom. This was not a problem at all for...

The guesthouse offers appropriate rooms with private bathrooms. We had the room next to a pleasant garden, what is a big plus with regard the hostels area. Outside the guesthouse hunderts of vehikel rush along the main street, but if you stay in, you can enjoy a quite and lovely atmosphere. Other benefits are good breakfast and the fact that...

We arrived in Kandy after a terrible train ride and instantly felt welcome. It was almost like visiting someone you know. The owner is very friendly and genuinely cared about us and our well-being. Every night, we enjoyed the dinner offered at the guesthouse, prepared by the owner. It was fresh and so delicious that I definitely recommend it to...

If you plan to go to Kandy, you can't go wrong with this place. The host is one of the nicest hosts we had so far. She organized everything for us and her place felt like home within seconds. The location is very good too...you can walk everywhere. Thanks a lot!

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house with such lovely hosts. As soon as you step in off the street it is an oasis of calm and you are made to feel very welcome by the family. It's a great location, just 5 minutes walk from the central shopping area and less than 10 mins to the temple...

We stayed for 2 nights with Madugalle and her family and they were extremely friendly and made us feel welcome straight Away. Definitely arrange to be picked up from the station as the home itself would be easy to miss though. We had an upstairs room which was basic but clean but there was a veranda to sit out on...

We felt very welcome in Madugalle' s comfortable refuge from busy Kandy streets. Kumari gave us lots of helpful information and cooked wonderfully. She' s a warm and fine lady. We keep fond memories of the days spent at her place.

Basic accommodations but outstanding value for money, located a 10-minute walk from the Temple of the Tooth. Kumari was so knowledgeable and helpful in planning day trips and transportation to our next destination – and her cooking is delicious! Especially good for young Asian women traveling alone. Strong Wi-Fi in the rooms.
