We went as a group to the Hibiscus Hotel for a one night stay. We all had a wonderful time and the service we received was really good, especially from the front office and restaurant staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable but looked very tired and dated. If the management could invest on refurbishing the hotel, this would be a fantastic place for group outings.

Nice and friendly staff. Management was also good and very friendly. We were there with low crowded day and got some delicious snacks and drinks additionally free of charge. Rooms were very clean and all the facilities were there.

It was awuful,,we had bad memory from this hotel,,rooms were old and deirty,,breakfast was cold and not fresh,,they dont have electrisity and fuel,,and we didnt have air conditioner in our rooms in hot weather when we told them this problem they told us you must tolerance

We had a lovely time at hibiscus. The staff is great except for one manger who made some comments about my little one playing with a spoon in the garden (he was a tall dark bald guy) We had some great meals served to the table as there was no buffet.

I visited hibiscus with my family and booked 5 rooms. I was in room 212 (1st floor) and the door to the balcony was not closing and the safety deposit box was also not working. We didn't want to raise any concerns as this is a budget hotel and we felt safe as we were on the 1st floor. We had dinner and came to sleep. Around 1.45 a.m I heard a sound and woke up and there was a person in the dark, who was going through my wife's purse...i shouted and he ran and that guy jumped out of our room..😲😲 we were on the 1st floor which is about 12 feet from the ground and he just jumped and ran towards the hotel.. and not towards the beach where he can just easily escape. It seems like this guy came from the hotel..🤔🤔🤔 Luckily he couldn't take any item from our room. Aparently he climbed the wall to get in to our room.. 😲😲 We checked in the hotel but couldn't capture him. How he got to know that our room has the faulty door and the faulty safety deposit box is the greatest question we still have. My father-in-law's room was also not locked but he didn't go there so, it seems like he knew about this room's issue very well. So if you are staying, make sure that all the doors can be properly closed and the safety deposit box is working. Always lock those doors and keep all your belongings safely and hidden. Hibiscus Beach Hotel has been a pleasant surprise. Booking a hotel from half way around the globe with only pictures from the web and other people's reviews can be very intimidating. But I have been impressed. The food, I took half board, has been great. No need for the antacid that I brought along. The choice is plenty, from eastern to western. The fresh fruit is in abundance and a very nice selection of desserts in the evening. The property as very well maintained to look beautiful at all times. 2 swimming pools to choose from, both are very nice,each one also having a kiddy pool next to it. The small gym is adequate to get a good workout in if that isy our thing. Which is was for me each day. The staff is very friendly and pleasant yet not in your face too much. I felt left alone when I wanted to yet greeted by each that passed by. You will definitely be impressed. In full, I had to spend 2 weeks in quarantine here and could not think of a better place to be held up. You will definitely enjoy your stay here,do not hesitate.…

Hibiscus Beach Hotel and Villas was a great place to stay while I was doing my quarantine at Safe and Secure Level 1 hotel in Sri Lanka. Beautiful property with direct access to the beach, 2 swimming pools and a nice garden that’s always well maintained. The room is nice with stylish furniture, a balcony with a view + tea/coffee facilities available 24 hours. Nice breakfast area - very spacious! I loved the food here - it’s quite authentic Sri Lankan, which is one of the reasons to visit the country. Stuff is friendly and helpful + always available to assist and answer all the questions and concerns. Special thanks to the management / reception to Mr Shyanaka Munasinghe and Mr Оcean Morayes + the entire stuff! Overall it was a great experience to stay here.
