This is only the luxury place to stay in delft island. It consists of small villas. The room is quite comfortable. We didn't get food from them so I can't give a review about their foods. The room and bathroom is clean considering with the available facilities in that Island.

This is the only resort located in the Delft island. The room is quite comfortable and the food is tasty. It's a must to stay in Delft otherwise will be too tired. Trishow will be arranged by the hotel for travelling and boat services are limited to the main land. The room and bathroom is very clean and amazing to see the level of maintenance in a difficult environment.

Delft Samudra is a hotel consisting of small bungalows, each having one room on the ground floor with an outdoor sitting area and one room with balcony on the top floor. The bungalows are nicely arranged in a circle. Our room was spacious with a large double bed, one bedside table, small closet and a desk (no chairs though). The room had AC, which is much needed in the middle of the day when it's getting very hot. The bathroom was also spacious with toilet and shower. The sink was outside in the corridor. No hot water for the shower but since it is so hot outside there was no need for it. Towels and toilet paper are provided. Everything was clean. The hotel has a dining area where you can have pre-ordered meals. The food was very tasty. They also have a take-away stall at the roadside where you can have cool drinks and bites to eat anytime. They had free WiFi, which worked in the restaurant area but not in the room. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the ferry terminal on the main road. But since there is not much traffic on Delft it was very quiet. The beach, Dutch fort and pigeon nest are walking distance from the hotel. There are also a couple of shops down the road where you can buy cookies etc. For other sight seeing you can easily find a three-wheeler to take you. We enjoyed our stay on Delft very much and were happy with the accommodation.

I was accompanied by two friends who are well known medical specialists in the country and their daughter who is also a medical student visited Jaffna during the Sinhala/Hindu New Year holidays. We spent a full day in Delft touring various places of cultural, architectural historical, and other places of interests. The Senior Management of Delft Samudra Hotel was extremely flexible, demonstrated a genuine desire to go extra mile to make the guests happy under a very difficult environment. We pre ordered the lunch and when we arrived at the hotel lunch was almost ready but the group decided to go for a sea bath before the lunch. Since I did not join the Manager very kindly made available a room for me to relax free of charge. The lunch was fabulous and the menu included cuttle as well fried Paraw fish accompanied with a few vegetables. Rice and curry were served in large clay pots which was an added attraction specially for us who are used to ceramic tablewares. The wash rooms were clean and there was running water and an uninterrupted electricity supply despite the severe drought. Refrigerator was well stocked with different brands of soft drinks to meet the needs of the guests I strongly recommend Delft Samudra Hotel for anyone visiting Delft where quality, courtesy and satisfaction are a priority above everything else.
